My sister's dog is in the ER with suspected liver problems due to possible toxin exposure. He got sick after a walk down Java street a few days ago. Started vomiting, stopped eating, terrible.

Has anyone had any recent issues with their doggos after a walk that included Java street? I'm wondering if someone is lacing stuff. His walkers are pretty good at not letting him eat random stuff on the sidewalks, but it maybe might have happened that day.

Edit - That day the walk was down Java to Franklin, and then to Box St and back. So more than just Java street.

Has anyone used a service they can recommend? Have a massive rat infestation in basement, and its so bad that National Grid refused to go down there for an inspection. Building was being run by the city until a month ago, ergo the massive issue, much to my chagrin and disgust.

Just in case some of y'all forgot, when you are about to impact someone else with your body or your bike why don't you try slowing down or, gasp, stopping first?

I can't tell what is real and what is fake on this sub anymore when it comes to merch. Every other "my amazing t shirt finally came" post is an ad filled with bots.

Half of these t shirts look like that were designed with the help of AI. All the shit i actually want is sold out, and the fanatics bot that tried to "make things right" for the bad order i posted about a couple of weeks ago wasted my time only to offer me a 10% discount on my next purchase as a way to "make it up to me".

Frustrating

I hate loosing Mitch and Hauk, but yeah, least they didnt go to the Pacers. especially Mitch. that would have been the absolute worst.

Still sucks tho.

My plyers really wanted to do a dungeon crawl (we normally do epic combat/rp, not a lot of dungeons crawls in my campaigns) so I cooked up Storm Giant Fallen Citadel dungeon thingy. 50 years ago a Storm Giant in en'Drik stole a sword from an Air Elemental cult and took it to his floating Skyhold. Eventually the place crashed into the jungles of Xen'Drik and were swallowed up by time and the environment. Does anyone have any cool ideas for maps i could use depicting the dungeon/skyhold citadel? It embedded itself into the earth much like a sword of spear might do, so I'm picturing a vertical crawl down.

Any map links or cool puzzle ideas welcome and appreciated. Cheers!

...I started watching these playoffs at home, alone, with a 6 pack. First 2 games vs Atl. For game 3 I went out to a local bar...and quickly realized the errors of my ways. I decided that I needed to be at home by myself screaming at my screen, and did so for the remainder of the playoffs. Since making that decision we have not lost a game. Ergo...

Anyone familiar with this guy? I came across a tune called Earthquake while on a random playlist last week and almost started skanking on the subway. looked him up hoping i wasnt duped by AI and he looks real enough to me. Greek. Anyone if you like your dnb heavy and neuro with some funky jungle aesthetics you'll probably enjoy.

Its only been a month or so of playoffs and I'm already sick of the "OMG WEMBY!!" storylines. Yes, he's exceptionally nimble and skilled for a kid his size. He's pretty much a one of one, never seen before, player.

Great. Cool.

But he's not some unstoppable monster. He's a skinny kid with endurance issues and if you push tempo and pace you can pretty much run him down.

So while i appreciate him getting all the attention and spotlight, and i actually like that we are the underdogs in this series, I have to say I'm sick of hearing about this kid. And this is only year 3.

So i guess im fucked?

I sometimes struggle to describe this to my players. I try to keep in mind how many moons there are, that they aren't all visible at the same time, and that the Ring of Siberys is a constant night time companion. Other than that i try to describe the vast swath of seemingly galactic swirls and i make the sky really busy and multicolored.

What else might the players see when looking up?

I sure hope this question is viewed as a serious one, and not antagonistic or trolling, because it's something that weights pretty heavily on my mind.

Recently a video has gone viral of a black man telling white men to shut the fuck up because voting rights laws only exist because white people needed to have it in writing to not be awful. The video is spot on, that's exactly why those laws exist. The United States has a shameful history of slave ownership (which was enabled by the Dutch, the Portuguese and other European powers).

Following the abolition of slavery white americans decided that they needed segregation to keep the former slaves in check, and engaged in decades and generations of active economic and social repression of black americans. Again, absolutely shameful and disgraceful behavior which has led to a vast wealth disparity based on skin color. That wealth disparity leads to all sorts of gatekeeping as everything in the USA is about money. Education, childcare, healthcare, all the care...if you ain't got money you ain't got care.

Pretending that these disparities do not exist is ridiculous and maddening that so many actually act like it's not a real thing.

I'm not telling you anything you guys who listen to Higher Learning don't already know.

Now, I am technically a White American. I have white skin, and an American passport. I possess ONE of the two major cheat codes to making it in America. White Skin. The other cheat code is being born with the aforementioned Money. My skin color has opened doors for me that wont open for black people, even tho my parents didn't have money when we were kids. I know this to be 1000% true.

However, and this is where the gist of my question begins...I was born in Poland. To Polish parents, with an unbroken heritage of European caucasity. I was raised in Brooklyn, in a melting pot of cultures and races, i went to high school In the Bronx, and I lived in NYC for the first 30 years of my life. I always identified as a New Yorker, first and foremost, and then as a Polish American. But more and more I've also been forced to identify as a White Person.

I really really don't want to be lumped into the same group of people who had great great grandparents that had parents who owned slaves. I understand why I am lumped into that group, the same way I understand why there are only two political parties in this country. Red or Blue, White or Black. Make the poors fight amongst each other so that they don't turn their eyes upon us. Give them 2 choices, and tell them that they are free. Give them illusion of choice, but make sure they hate each other.

When I hit 30 i got this huge urge, for the first time ever, to explore the world outside of tis country. I visited 70 other countries so far, and i have seen poverty the likes of which i couldnt even imagine. I have also seen those very same insanely (by American standards) poor people with 6 teeth smile the largest smiles I have ever seen. I have seen true freedom in countries where you don't have to be afraid of cops, or guns. I have visited ancient ruins from civilizations long gone, and had the privilege at gazing at some of the most beautiful natural wonders. I came to realize that the USA...fucking sucks. We have so much natural beauty but we're focused on the wrong things. More and more when people ask me where I'm from i say Brooklyn, by way of Polish heritage.

So, I suppose I don't even have a real question here. I just feel, that when that guy in the video was saying he doesn't want to see white men cosplay as allies ... please understand that we arent all descendants of slave owners, and that some of us are extremely sympathetic to the injustices that have been done in this country, and in our name around the world.

Anyway, i find myself digressing and losing my point here. The effects of coffee. Sorry about that.
