is cirqa worth it?

hi everyone, i used to be a whoop user. i let go of that because of the expensive subscription cost and changed to the fitbit air. glad i made the decision because it does what i need it to do + there's no need for a subscription. however, since cirqa has come out, i would say i'm one of the weirder ones that like how it looks.

in terms of accuracy, based on the quanitified scientist's fitbit air review, i would say that the standard for accuract of the fitbit air is up there. for those who have the cirqa, is there anything you could share about the data accuracy? would it be better than both the fitbit air and whoop?

Unofficially diagnosed with ADHD

Hi, 32M here. I will try to explain my situation as best as I can, because I really need help understanding the things that are happening to me.

During my first therapy session, I was told that I could possibly be on the spectrum of a person with high functioning ADHD. My therapist told me I am highly logical when it comes to interpreting certain situations. Though he always tells me it could backfire for me most of the time.

  1. I understand people's explanations, emotions, logic, but I cannot seem to fully embrace their thoughts. And because I fully understand what they're trying to tell me, I get stuck in this constant battle of not having my own decision, not having my own identity, and always wanting to bend my personality for other people. And of course, it doesn't always end well.

  2. When I get overwhelmed, my brain cannot function and I am at a loss for words for a long time. Which in result becomes very irritating for other people it seems. It's like I want to be at their level of intuition and respond back to their thoughts, but my mind just cannot function that way and the result would either always be me becoming sleepy or just shutting down.

  3. When my emotions add up because of certain situations, especially during arguments and heavy words and hurtful terms get thrown at me, instead of fighting back, I hurt myself. I punch my head, I punch my face or I punch the wall without even uttering a single word.

- For this, my therapist told me that the reason why I do this is because my brain knows it wants to comply with what the other person is saying and that I am eaten up by guilt, but at the same time I cannot do it, regardless of how much I try to.

  1. Impulsive: mostly when it comes to purchasing things. I get these random moments of energy and always tend to hyperfocus on the newest thing I have my eyes on, and I would go on days researching and won't stop until I get my hands on that exact thing.

  2. I get very agitated when I'm surrounded with noise, unnecessary chatter, unruliness, etc.

- For this, I was told that it may be normal for even people that are not on the spectrum, but I wanted to confirm here nonetheless.

  1. I am afraid of being honest. I always hide behind convenience and lies because I always am afraid of the result. I don't know if this is applicable, but I think being on the spectrum sometimes mean that I want to please everybody and say yes during the moment, but never have any plans or cannot stay consistent at implementing change after all.

I need help. I really want to learn how to live with this because sometimes it is very difficult, especially being surrounded by very highly intelligent people.

Thank you so much in advance.

I need help.

I, 32M, engaged to 28F, am having trouble being consistent and honest. The reason as to why I have a difficult time being honest is because of fear of consequences and not wanting to be accountable for my actions.

I know that it is really fairly easy to be honest to your partner and other people, but for some reason, I often find myself hiding behind convenience and lies. The majority of which includes purchases.

My partner is a very loving woman and she leaves me no room to guess what she prefers in our relationship. All she wants is transparency and a partner who can speak up and be man enough to communicate his opinion and thoughts.

This has caused numerous fights already and for the same exact reason; fear and me being a coward.

This is basically a me problem. How can I expect my partner to be comfortable and at ease with me if I cannot show up and be the man that she actually deserves?

The funny thing is, I know all these things, and yet I feel like there is something wrong with how my brain is wired. Or worse, I refuse to change.

That is unfair to my partner and I know she deserves better and I want to be better. Time and time again, she could have chosen to leave me behind but choose to stay nevertheless.

For those on here that have some sound advice on how to best change this pattern of behavior, I am more than happy to hear your thoughts, criticisms, advice and opinion.

Thank you so much.

Philosophy/Approach

Hi everyone,

I’m a 32-year-old GC specializing in 7-Eleven commercial fit-outs and builds. I’ve been in this business since 2018, but I’ve hit a scaling bottleneck and could use some advice from more experienced contractors on how to handle a personnel issue.

Right now, my pipeline is:

Project A: A graveyard-shift project starting this week.

Project B: An ongoing commercial fit-out.

A few upcoming, more complex "concept store" sites.

Because the upcoming concept stores require rigid IMC conduit work, I want to reserve my primary, trusted electrical leadman and his crew exclusively for those sites.

To free them up, I hired a new, secondary crew to train and handle the standard fit-out on a different site.

It was always agreed upon that my primary leadman is my go-to guy for major projects. However, when he found out I brought on a secondary team to handle the overflow, he took it differently. He told me that since I "called a new team," I should just find a new leadman to finish his current project as well.

I’m caught off guard. I’m trying to scale and handle an influx of work, not replace him.

To be completely honest, my gut reaction is to get frustrated and let resentment take over, but I want to handle this logically.

How would you approach this conversation with the leadman?

Is this kind of territorial pushback common when you start scaling and bringing on multiple crews

Thank you!

Fitbit Air Accuracy

Hi everyone, I'm mostly basing off of The Quantified Scientist's review of the Fitbit Air. He does say that most of what the Fitbit Air has to offer is accurate and can even potentially compare to that of Whoop's.

But why is it that a lot of people have negative feedback about the tracking of the Fitbit Air?

I'm sorry, I'm new to Fitbit. Used to be a Whoop user.

Need help looking for lights and sounds supplier, as well as florist...

Hi, need po ng help for lights and sounds supplier for our wedding na meron lang 120 guests. Currently talking to AudioMNL and Metrotech. Nahanap lang namin sila since maganda ang feedback sakanila ng mga tao and parang within the budget naman, around 50k php at most since maliit lang yung wedding.

Meron pa po kaya kayo masusuggest na sobrang professional kausap and maayos yung naging service?

For the florist naman, since yung event will be at Champagne Room, hindi na kami nag try humanap ng super garbo na setup since meron nang deco sa loob ng Champagne Room. Ang kausap namin na ok and di masyadong overpriced is si Dangwa Florist since naging supplier na rin sila ng cousin ko.

Male ako, and di ako masyadong magaling mag plan kasi, kaya need ko lang suggestions na top-tier service sana po, if possible.

Thank you so much in advance!

Active vs Modern Elevated

For those who have both bands, which one's better? Also, I have a 170mm wrist, planning to buy small for the Active band. Will that be ok?

Any suggestions? I've seen some broken straps for the Active band and some say that the Modern Elevated band is not as comfortable.

Thank you and looking forward to some feedback!

Fitbit Air SC Edition came in today!

The Google Health app is not that difficult to navigate, to be completely honest.

You get what you pay and sign up for. For a regular joe like me, this is enough. Especially not having to pay a super expensive subscription, I'd like to think that I just dogded a bullet. But I cannot speak for everyone! Some people would definitely like advanced metrics for sure.

Also, planning to buy the Active Band and have a 170mm wrist. For those who have it, should I go with the small or the large?

Stephen Curry Edition - worth it?

Hi everyone, currently waiting on the Steph Curry Edition. But having watched numerous reviews from Youtubers, I've seen that some of their SC bands have stains on them.

And for me personally, I feel like I cannot stand the idea of that happening to my band. It's so contradicting.

But I would like to know what your thoughts are on the SC edition.

My alternative option is just go with the ordinary one and then probably buy the silicone band instead.

Or I was hoping that down the line maybe Steph Curry would have another special edition band with Fitbit since he's also on top of the design and performance aspect of it.

What do you guys think?
