The earliest reference of Dance of Dragons comes in appendix of AGOT where Rhaenyra was only 1 year elder to Aegon. Does Dance even makes sense then?

The way GRRM writes cat omg

I mean Cat is not my favorite character but the way GRRM writes her. She's my Top 3 POVs. As an adult male, who can never be a mother, I literally feel like a mother.

And Cat says so much questionable things at time. Like once she said she will cut off head of all horses if it meant to revive Bran, that line is like so weird, but at the same time, it makes me love her character more. You can also feel where she's coming from.

Jon is my favorite character but weirdly I don't hate Cat for treating him so miserably. Cat chapters especially feels so engrossed in the head of the character that you start feeling what the character feels. Something like this I feel missing in Dany's chapters. While reading Dany's chapters, I feel we are watching her from outside but Cat's chapter feels we are watching the world from her head.

It's truly brilliant

Rewatching this show made me feel how for granted we take the brilliant CGI Dragons

I know CGI is insane these days, but still watching Syrax, Caraxes, Vermithor and Silverwing fly over King's Landing and realizing they aren't actually real. As well as the scenes of Vhagar with Aemond.

Hats off to these CGI workers. It's truly brilliant. Animating them is actually quite a tedious work.

How ironic for Old Jae Jae's dragon to be claimed by son of the daughter he hated the most

Taking the show cannon into account which implies that Hugh Hammer is son of Saera.

The difference between perception of Daemon Blackfyre and Rhaenyra Targaryen is very confusing for me

I have noticed in the ASOIAF fandoms as whole, Daemon Blackfyre's claim is genuinely supported and applauded by the fandom, even thought it's in no way legit. Even if he Daemon Waters became Daemon Targaryen at his deathbed, it still doesn't change Daeron the Good was twice as old as him, leaving Daemon 0 grounds for any legitimacy.

The same fandom, however when comes to Rhaenyra Targaryen's claim discourses whole ass Andal succession, great council, and all the laws of the world despite her claim being legit.

Why is so much difference in how fandom perceive these characters

The editor's name never fails to catch me off guard

Btw he is pretty great editor. He was chief editor for GOT and Doctor Who too

Rhaenyra grieving Jace is one of the best emotional performances I have ever seen on TV

You know what would have been easy? Just to skip the part where she discovers and cut to where she's almost done with grief. Because scenes like this are difficult. Discovering with body first hand, then the reactions, it's awkward, slow and very hard to not look cringe. Most of the shows avoid it. When Ned Stark died, we were immediately cut off to scenes where Catelyn and Robb were already broken the news. Even when Luke died, we got close too, but not exactly the direct reaction and grievance.

And boy that scene, I was BAWLING. The lack of any score in that scene made it 10 times impactful. Easily one of the best performances I have seen on TV

Except a sister, Rhaenyra has managed to see death of every close family member

Rhaenyra has seen death of her brother, mother, father, husband (atleast publicly), son and daughter.

All now left is a sister
