Back in my 'Eavy metal days I painted a lot of the miniatures in the first ever Warhammer Armies: Undead but, as it was still early in my time there, I wasn't given any of the main characters to do. I have most of them in a box, waiting for paint, so I'm planning on making up for not getting to do them at the time, and old Heinrich is the first out of the box.

So, with the new version on the horizon, I decided to look back at the work I did on the original boxed set and...realised there wasn't very much of it. All I did for the game back then was the plastic Goliaths for the boxed set photos, as seen in the pics above. This has triggered me into wanting to make up for that deficiency so I’m going to paint not one, not two, but five miniatures!

I’m going to have another crack at a pair of the gloriously chunky and woefully out-of-proportion Goliath plastics that I painted for the original boxed set; have a go at a pair of the Orlock plastics from that same set, that I didn’t do at the time; and I’m going to fix up and finish off the Karloth Valois that I painted 30 years ago for my own gang!

So, watch this space for finished versions of those miniatures appearing at some point and, if you have a Necromunda character or gang (or anything else) you’d like painted, drop me a line- I’m always available for commissions.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!
Here's a couple of banners I did back around 1994 for a couple of chaos regiments. I remember I asked Alan Merrett what he wanted for the banners and he pointed at my Motorhead t-shirt and said, "something like that."
Painted in acrylic on cartridge paper, roughly 6cm across.

So, with all the fuss going around about The Old Man Of Armageddon, and the updated new miniature that came out this week, I thought it was a good time to finish off this old classic which has been sat in my pile of opportunity for 30-odd years!
