Should I postpone my trip to Bend?

Hi all. I am scheduled to visit family in Bend from Thursday through Sunday, but I'm now wondering if I should postpone due to the fires and (assumed) poor air quality. It's tough to tell from the news how bad it is in Bend, so I figured I'd go right to the source.

Any opinions are appreciated, and thank you all in advance 🙏🏼

Message from a U.S. fan

Norway, you guys and your team are amazing. Thank you for giving me and countless other people across the globe the best month or so of soccer glee we've ever had. I will ALWAYS be a Norway soccer fan from now on. Fuck England, fuck that ref, but nevertheless... only NORWAY won the hearts of fans around the globe in this World Cup 🇳🇴 ❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️🇳🇴❤️

Question about canyon living

We are looking at a house for sale tomorrow in the canyon above the Sinclair gas station, off Corral Canyon Road. Not too far up. Just wondering if any of you live in that general vicinity, and if so, could you please share pros and cons. Work commute would be going into Santa Monica Monday through Thursday from roughly 7:30am to 2pm, give or take.

Thank you!

I always wondered what front row at Phish would be like. I no longer want to know.

Model 3 lease ending: Should I buy it out or finance a new one?

Current vehicle: 2023 RWD (not long range), 24k miles, buyout is $25,000 plus tax. If I put $7,500 down, I'd pay roughly $530/mo for 36 months at 6%

Potential vehicle: 2026 Model 3 Premium gray with white. $7,500 down = $599/mo for 72 months @ 0.99%

I'm torn. The new Premium is obviously a lot nicer but I really like my car and the miles are low.

(I'm in California, for what it's worth)

Anyone else going to see PTF at Troubadour Sat night?

Also, if doors open at 7 and a band called The Alligators are opening (likely around 8), should I expect PTF to take the stage at... 9:15ish?

2026 Mercedes GLB $47,195 msrp- 24mo/7,500 miles a year, $3,400 due at signing, $230/mo including tax

Seems like an unbelievable deal. Miles per year works for me as I hardly drive. I just don't know if I can go back to a gasoline vehicle... especially here in SoCal where it's $6/gallon.

My Model 3 is coming off lease soon. Just need something to run local errands in, take the dogs to the park etc.

Any of you have a pair you particularly love?

Thank you in advance!

Alternatively, I could finance a Model Y Premium with the same down payment for $621/mo. @ 0.99%

Torn between the two options...

I see so many posts on here about people living in agony. Here's my advice: If you can get a microdiscectomy, do it.

My pain was so bad, I had to call 911 on the morning of surgery and have the paramedics lift me off the living room floor - which I had been living on (eating, pissing, shitting, sleeping) for the final week and half of my misery - and bring me straight to the operating table, because I was unable to move a goddamn inch on my own.

No one on here was in as much pain as I was in. No one. It's legitimately impossible. I thought about killing myself every day and even researched how to do it.

But obviously I pushed through. Had the surgery in June. Took a few months to feel better. Yesterday I went for a 50 mile bike ride. I never think about my back anymore. It feels wonderful.

Get the surgery if you can.
