The Khalistan Movement proves that Two Nation Theory is also applicable to Hindus and Sikhs

The Two Nation Theory is the most demonised concept in South Asian history, it just meant self-determination of Muslims in their own land

Pakistan got independence on the basis of Two Nation Theory, questioning it means questioning the existence of Pakistan itself

Someone like Muhammed Ali Jinnah didn't strive for Pakistan due to greed or tribalism, he saw that Hindus and Muslims are culturally and politically pole apart from each other and satisfying both communities under a single state is practically impossible as One community is polytheistic idolator while the other is aniconistic monotheist, One community cremates the dead body while the other buries it, One community reveres Cows while the other eats Beef, One community follows the caste system while the other do not, Any historical figure which is a hero for one community is a villain for another and in any geopolitical conflict, Hindus and Muslims always support the opposite side of the conflict whether it is the Israel-Palestine conflict, Russia-Ukraine, China-Taiwan, Greece-Turkiye, Armenia-Azerbaijan, Serbia-Kosovo etc

Separation of Bangladesh from Pakistan didn't disprove the Two Nation Theory as Bangladesh is not a Bengali nation, it's a Bengali Muslim nation as a Hindu majority portion of Bengal still exist in India, it's called West Bengal and Bangladesh has better relations with Pakistan than India, it means Pakistan and Bangladesh are still spiritually united

When Zohran Mamdani became the Mayor of NYC, the banters against him from Western Right-Wing was that he is a "Terrorist" or wants to implement "Sharia Law", even though he is an Indian Muslim, the banters against him were not the typical Indian banters like Scamming, R&ping, Street shitting, Cow Dung eating because these banters are associated with only Hindus

Muslims are the most marginalised community in India while Muhajir Muslims are one of the most affluent group of people in Pakistan, it means Muslims who migrated to Pakistan are living a much better life than Muslims who stayed in India

THE TWO NATION THEORY STILL STANDS TRUE

The Two-Nation Theory, originally conceptualized in the context of Hindu-Muslim relations in the South Asia argued that distinct religious communities with their own belief systems, identities, and cultural trajectories constitute separate nations. While historically applied to Hindus and Muslims, the underlying logic can also be extended to the relationship between Hindus and Sikhs

  1. Distinct Religious and Philosophical Foundations - A core premise of the Two-Nation Theory is the existence of fundamentally different worldviews, Sikhism's Core Tenets Mark a Distinct Civilizational Path, A monotheistic theology centered on Ik Onkar, in contrast to the diverse polytheistic strands in Hinduism, Rejection of Hindu rituals, priesthood, idol worship, and caste hierarchies, A scripturally anchored egalitarianism unique to Sikh tradition.

  2. A Distinct Sikh Collective Identity - The emergence of the Khalsa in 1699 under Guru Gobind Singh formalized a collective identity with its own: Symbols (the Five Ks), Discipline (Rehat Maryada), Martial tradition, Code of conduct, Political independence of spiritual authority, These elements formed a self-conscious community with the characteristics of a nation a people with shared purpose, markers, and destiny. Parallel to the "millat" concept, just as Muslims were historically understood as a distinct millat or community, one could argue that the Khalsa Panth occupies an equivalent role for Sikhs.

  3. Historical Sovereignty as Evidence of National Distinctiveness - The Sikh Empire (1799-1849) Independent, centralized governance, Distinct legal and administrative structures, A clear political expression of Sikh nationhood.

  4. Cultural Divergence in Punjab - Though Hindus and Sikhs share regional culture, Sikh culture evolved distinctly, Gurmat-based ceremonies vs. Sanskritic rituals, Distinct marriage rites, A martial-egalitarian social ethos vs. Hindu society's caste-based stratification, Eating Beef vs. Revering Cows

  5. Persecution of Sikhs by Hindu majoritarian Indian State :-

a) Operation Blue Star - A military assault on the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar, ordered by the Indian government caused immense devastation, The holiest site of Sikhism sustained heavy damage, Hundreds of civilians and combatants were killed, Deep emotional and spiritual wounds were inflicted on Sikhs worldwide

b) Operation Woodrose - Following Blue Star, the Indian Army conducted sweeping arrests, detentions, and torture of Sikh men-many of them villagers with no links to militancy. Human rights organizations later documented widespread abuses.

c) 1984 Anti-Sikh Massacres - After Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by two Sikh bodyguards, organized Hindu mobs killed thousands of Sikhs across Delhi and other cities. Key characteristics of these events included: Targeted killings and burnings, Destruction of homes, gurdwaras, and businesses, Evidence of political orchestration or complicity, Decades-long legal struggles for justice as the accused haven't prosecuted

d) 1990s Violence and Human Rights Abuses - In the years following 1984, Punjab witnessed a brutal counterinsurgency: Indian security forces carried out extrajudicial executions, enforced disappearances and torture, Human rights advocates, including Jaswant Singh Khalra, exposed thousands of illegal cremations of unidentified Sikh youth leading to Khalra's own abduction and murder

e) Demographic threat - Indian State promotes Drugs & Alcohol in Punjab to deteriorate the Sikh Youth and also brings non-local Hindu immigrants from Gangetic plains to Punjab to replace the Sikh population to create a Pan-Hindu nation

The Khalistan Movement is a Sikh Nationalist Movement striving to create a homeland for Sikhs known as "Khalistan" by carving out areas of Punjab region from India
