NO KILLL!! Animal shelters within queens Brooklyn or manhattan. URGENT!!

does anyone know of any good high quality no kill shelters that will take a little calico cat in need. it can get a little aggressive when scared and that’s due to mistreatment. a woman who lives in our apartment complex confirmed it was her cat and that she threw it out on the street for biting her once (heartbroken I almost cried when I heard this 💔). when we found it it was pretty skinny (a little underfed is our guess) but very lovable and clearly acting out of stress. we cant house it bc we already have two puppies and we just cant take on another animal. was wondering if anyone knows of any NO KILL animal shelters that will take this angel in. pls lmk we are in desperate need of finding him a good quality shelter (good communication and well ran!! and most importantly NO KILL PLEASE!)

Researching the school! Pls help me out :)

Im a rising senior from nyc researching schools and this one caught my eye. I have a few specific questions and refuse to touch ai.

  1. How would you rate student life, are there a lot of clubs and extracurriculars and overall events for students at the school? Also how was it like making friends and finding your people? I know its a big school so did that affect how you made friends?
  2. How is housing is it top tier compared to other schools, below average or just average and similar to plenty of schools?
  3. Would you say there are a lot of opportunities for undergrads in which I wont be competing with grad students? (internships, research programs, etc.)
  4. ok this one is super specific but I need to know as someone who hopes in majoring in biology and doing research. Are there any field study abroad programs? like field biology research in other countries?
  5. how would you rate the dining hall and also like the dining hall systems (payment systems like how many dining dollars students gets etc etc.?)

Ok thank you! I might have more but I really cant remember (ps im putting this on a bunch of other schools sub reddits bc its generally what im trying to research in schools rn)

Young adults how did you get your first job?

Genuine question, how did some of you get your first jobs at the ages of 16-18? did you just apply online and wait to hear back or did you take extra/different steps. (ps asking as someone from nyc and no I did not get into syep this year). I’m asking bc when I was scrolling tiktok and insta reels id see some silly extra methods like “after I applied online i walked in said I had an interview and got hired“ or “I applied online and then called and asked if they received my application that way they could notice it” would these methods actually work? what methods do you have?

Rory after the accident in season 2

i do wanna preface this by saying I’m not team Jess (nor am I team Dean!) so my take is already very biased. Rory was being so obnoxious trying to defend Jess to everyone. His being nice to her does not negate how he disrespected lorelai how awful and ungrateful he was to Luke and how troubled he was in general. Why is she acting so shocked that everyone is mad at Jess? I mean I guess I’m not that surprised bc she was emotionally cheating on Dean atp. in general I just really don’t like Jess. And, I don’t enjoy watching Rory’s naivety about how “oh but he’s not all that bad” just bc he’s only nice to her. It’s extremely annoying during the 2nd half of season 2. makes it almost harder to watch. Even at the end when lorelai and Rory argued at the party and lorelai tried to explain to Rory that Jess is a bad kid and that he’s consistently disrespectful to adults around him like Luke and HERSELF (Rory’s own mother who she totally disregarded) she still continued to defend Jess with her life and why? oh Ik bc he was actively pursuing her while she was in a relationship. I cant stand Jess. any actually respectful man would not do that no matter how messy you see the relationship gets (which for the most part got messy bc of Jess). Anyways this is just my take lmk what you guys have to say abt this :)
