"Wifes... Am I right?" No. No, you're not. 😒
Everybody who thinks that having sex is as important as breathing needs serious help.
I still think it's weird that we've normalised women ripping out their body hair
Now that summer is back (in the Northern Hemisphere), getting rid of body hair has become a big topic again.
Aside from how strange it is that society is so obsessed with women's body hair and whether they remove it, as if not doing so would personally offend them and their entire ancestry, can we please talk about how normalised it has become to literally rip it out?
I know waxing and epilation have been around for ages at this point, but stop and really think about it for a second. It's completely normal, and often even expected, for women to rip out their body hair.
At the same time, it's always treated as a joke when men get a small patch waxed or epilated. Everyone knows it fucking hurts. Hahaha, look at them screaming because of how painful it is. Hahaha.
AND YET SOCIETY HAS NORMALISED THIS FOR WOMEN. BECAUSE OF SOME TINY HAIRS!!!
Maybe it's just my autism speaking, but I genuinely can't understand this. And honestly, I don't want to.
If you're always cold at work, this is why
>Many office buildings around the world are still cooled based on thermal comfort models developed decades ago using the metabolic rates of the average male body.
Because men generally produce more body heat than women, these temperature standards can leave many women feeling colder indoors.
Research has shown that women often prefer slightly warmer indoor temperatures due to differences in metabolism, body composition, and heat distribution.
So when someone says, “It’s freezing in here,” it may not be exaggeration at all, the environment might literally be optimized for a different body type.

(mild rant) Has anyone else experienced this with a streamer's community?
I've been following a streamer for over 4 years now and recently, I've been very disappointed with him and the community. 😞
4 years ago, he quickly became one of my favourite streamers because the YouTube videos he made about a certain game were very informative, and he would answer questions on stream and play hard content with others, giving them a chance to learn. Meanwhile, while he was always very positive and excited, he was never one of these "screaming = funny" streamers. And most importantly, as a woman, I felt safe watching his stream and being part of the community. The consensus seemed to be "Of course women play too, and of course there are female protags in games. No big deal."
But recently... I've noticed some things. It all started when I was using Discord and his server more frequently. It was around the time that Dragon Age Veilguard came out, and I quickly noticed a few people, who are also regular viewers, who were toeing the line of sexism and transphobia. I simply put them in the Ignore-list and moved on, thinking the mods would take care of them.
Some time between then and now he also collaborated with someone who is known for "edgy" humour and making sexist, racist and transphobic jokes... 😒 The community was very divided about it. One side refused to watch his content whenever he streamed with that guy or reacted to his content, while the other side loved it and defended him with "omg it's just jokes!!1".
Fast-forward to now, and the collaborator basically cancelled himself, but on Discord I see messages that are hidden from me, because they're from ignored people, and when I click on "Show me", these people are still there, and they're not even trying to hide their sexism and transphobia anymore. Especially now with the announcement of "God of War: Laufey" the meme channel in particular is filled with "God of War: Laundry" "jokes" and how women = bad and belong to the kitchen. And how dare female protags exist! 😑
I think it's important to note that I never heard and saw the streamer himself make such jokes, but it still feels... bad. He certainly sees these messages, since he's active on Discord and sometimes even posts directly under them, but he never acknowledges them, but also never does anything against them.
I don't know. I feel weird and uncomfortable with the whole situation. 😞 I feel it's also hard to say anything publicly, since he's beloved by the community of his "main game".
Sorry for the long rant, I just had to tell someone. 😞
Edit: Thanks to everyone who answered. ❤️ I think all of you are right, and it's time to unfollow and stop supporting him. Especially the example with the Nazi bar really opened my eyes. Sure, he might not be the one saying these things, but at the end of the day, he creates a safe space for these people to spew their hate. And I wouldn't be any better if I continued to support this.
Tip for new Tennos: Get Extracors
Since there are so many new Tennos, I thought I'd share a little tip, from one new-ish Tenno to other new Tennos, that helped me a lot: Get Extractors and you will have less trouble with resources! → https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Extractor
You can deploy up to 3 Extractors at a time to farm resources in the background. While they're working, you can continue playing normally or even log off, and they'll keep collecting resources for you.
There are four types of Extractors:
- Titan Extractor – Costs 50,000 Credits from the Market and takes 4 hours to collect resources.
- Distilling Extractor – Also costs 50,000 Credits, takes 8 hours, but has a higher chance of collecting uncommon and rare resources.
- Both have a Prime version
which are not currently available, but when they return, they can be purchased for 1 Regal Aya each.
If you're using the extractors for the first time, I highly recommend to either check out the wiki site (link above) or use the companion app to deploy them. This way, you can easily see which planet offers which materials, instead of clicking through the planets ingame.
And here's another tip from the wiki page, which I found rather handy: "A good method to have a constant supply of extractors is to have 5 Distilling Extractors for when you will be out for long periods of time. Have 10 Titan Extractors to alternate per extraction in case all of them get damaged. This will ensure that none of your extractors will be destroyed if you deploy them at a constant rate, collecting resources and instantly deploying an extractor at 100% health." → I know this sounds like a lot, but they're really not that expensive unless you're new-new a la "I started yesterday"-new.
Hope this helps some new Tennos. ❤️
