Modern B.P. Logo inspired by 1920s B.P. Irish flash logo?

after looking at a few 1920s enamel signs made by B.P. it came to me that the Irish flash logo (only used in Ireland and Scotland) looks somewhat like the modern B.P. logo.

Do you know where a WWII ruck pillbox is??

hello, this is the third time I’m making a post about ruck pillboxes (machine gun positions) (although on a different subreddit than usual), a year ago another one of these rare structures was located thanks to another subreddit which makes 6 recorded survivors.

these are an extremely rare pillbox made in ww2 with only 6 being recorded as extant (previously 5) even though they were made in the hundreds of thousands . These pillboxes were made of pre-fabricated curved concrete panels similar to some garages which makes me think many would’ve had similar fate to Anderson shelters and were repurposed as sheds. If you know of the location of a structure that looks like one (even if conversations have been done e.g loopholes filled in) message me with details as i would like to try locate more of these nearly extinct pillboxes.

Any information helpful (Even if it may be a dud).

Is there a name for this bricklaying pattern?

I come across it on alot of ww2 buildings, it’s like there’s a half brick between every other normal brick.

MacBook Air burn in?

for awhile now I’ve had a strange patch of my screen be a different darker colour, just did a burn in test and it appears to be burned. i don’t know what the hell has caused this, when pressure is out on it it gets darker and sometimes it nearly fully disappears if there’s no pressure on the screen. anyone know if this is fixable?

The most amazing egotistical know it all on Reddit 🫡

so I posted a pic of the most obvious scam eBay gas mask listing as a joke, i made this a real listing but didn’t actually post it so it said preview. so this guy commented Ont hat first one but anyway I fixed that.

so now he’s found my follow up post and has replied to every single comment saying it’s fake etc etc then started going back and forth with me with quite belittling replies, even mocking other commenters.

like bro it is not that deep 🫩🙏

hello, this is my daily rider a Hercules Blenheim from around 1928.

mostly original, seems to have had a bit of work done to it in the early 60s (postwar saddle, grips and older repaint) although the original decals have been painted over they can still be made out thou if I could get replacements I would be interested.

the Lucas paraffin lamp was a recent buy, bought as a literal rotten barnfind, got it working again although its very smoky. I am planning to replace it with a carbide lighting system if anyone knows where I can get carbide in the uk for cheap I would appreciate it.

might Replace the tyres at some point although in two minds since they probably have another 30 years on them.

mostly leaving it as is with the 60s upgrades since although it’s scruffy looking it’s very nice to ride.
