Having an issue deciding between an Ed Brown Special Forces vs Les Baer Premier II. Both of these are within my budget . Any personal experiences that could sway me one way or the other?

I have a wonderful problem I need help with. I have a fair number of guns. For some reason I’ve always wanted a high end 1911 in 45 ACP.

My wife just gave me an envelope of cash with 1911 on it and a tshirt about guns for our anniversary. I need to decide on one. Any recommendations?

My original thought was that I wanted a Springfield Armory TRP

But with the increase budget the following are in reach.

Envelope has $3000 in it.

Installed a disabler a couple of weeks ago on the new to me 2022 Pilot with 45k miles. At the time of installation my average MPG was 20.2. My expectations was that my MPG would drop.

Little to my surprise my MPG is increasing. I guess I’m a lucky one.

Looking to move away from Dentsply Sirona Schick Dental for multiple reasons. I am wondering what others are using in their offices and hospital ORs? It looks like DentiMax and Apex Dental are top choices.

My 18 year old son just received a positive myositis nxp2 ag result. He has extreme weakness with muscle atrophy. He is no longer able to stand up from a chair without using his arms.

We are in the middle of lots of doctor appointments. Meeting with neuro tomorrow to discuss the plan and schedule a muscle biopsy to confirm the diagnosis.

Information on the sub type is little harder to find on the others. Does anyone have any insight? Is there hope with IV infusions he will regain muscle, movements and regain weight?

It’s has been one hell of a month fighting for him.

My son (18) is going through a barrage of tests right now to see what’s wrong. He has always been on the low end of weight. I have always felt something is off.

Symptoms:
Very Skinny - has always been skinny
Very little muscle
Start walking with a gait about 6 mo ago
Recently is unable to stand from a seated position
Recently is unable to straighten out arms
Straightening out legs is very tight

Tests Results:
B12 deficiency
Low folate
EMG/NCS showed muscle concerns
Severe ADHD
Basic blood test all normal
CBC
CMP
CK

Pending tests:
Autism assessment - believe he’s on the spectrum with asbergers
MRI cspine
ANA Cascade
Extended myositis panel
B vitamin panel
Copper
Vitamin E
Genetic testing
Advanced PT appointment scheduled
Nutritious scheduled

There are more questions than answers right now. Neurologist says based on EMG result this is muscle vs nerve related. He believes fixing the B12 deficiency will not fix this issues but has to be done. He started injections this week. Neuro feels MD is certainly on the table now but said it could other things too. He said between the labs and genetic testing they should give us a much better idea of a diagnosis.

I’m pretty devastated. I’m in the medical field and have a lot of broad knowledge, but this area I’m ignorant in. I’ve been advocating for a very long time about his weight with just about everyone including his mom and all doctors dismissing my concerns. All saying he’s just a little different, he’s just skinny and has his whole life to gain weight. I don’t know what the new normal looks like for him.

Not sure what I’m asking here. Maybe if anyone else has had similar symptoms, test results or experiences? What should I be asking?

Trying to decide between these 2 pistols for USPSA and steel. Anyone have experience with both?
