I don't understand anything.

Life keeps contradicting me, I'm a religious person and I try my best to be a good one. I help the community and people in need as best when I can. I try not to hurt other feelings, I am reasonable, understanding, sympathetic and compassionate. I mean surely someone like this deserve at least one good thing in their life right? Nope! Every single fucking time I try to do something that will help me either for the mental side or the future side, for whatever reason it doesn't work out. I can understand if something doesn't work for me. like I try to be optimistic about it (maybe it was gonna end in a bad way...) but every single time is too much, and I'm tired of acting like I'm ok. because nothing ever ended in a good way or worked out in a good way and this is just so tiresome and now I have those thoughts about ending it all. if y'all have experienced this or you have a solution tell me so I can be patient about it.

[TOMT][Movie] 2000-2004? around that time

I think it's an old movie from 2004 or something and it was a rom-com I think, anyways what I remember is that this guy who was in love with this girl can see her and what's she's doing but she can't see him, in fact no one can except for this guy who's talking to him. that's what I remember the movie had similar aesthetic to 10 things I hate about you. and before you ask, No. it's not Just Like Heaven.

[TOMT][Movie] 2000-2005

well I remember some scenes of it, this guy (who was new in town) parked his nice sportscar "presumably" in the high school parking lot (the movie had that yellow-orange breaking bad tint) then a girl admired his car then he got into a fight with her boyfriend, then I remember him getting into some trouble and everyone at town hated him I guess, I also remember him creeping up into a sheriff's office of something and that's about it.

Just started Mafia 2

So I just started playing Mafia 2 Classic today (went for the original experience) and there's one thing I could say : "Perfection". I mean the detail level on this game is absolutely outta this world, and don't get me started on the storytelling and dialogue, I'm sorry GTA IV but I think you've been beaten by this masterpiece.

Defender of the Castle

How did the Jocks know about the pictures? by the mission "discretion assured" we know that Mandy has no idea that Jimmy took the photos and the Jocks blame it on the nerds but how did they know it was the nerds and not someone else since literally everyone has a crush on Mandy.

Is an armed society truly a polite society?

Supporters argue that when people know others may be armed, they behave more cautiously and respectfully. The logic is similar to deterrence: the possibility of immediate consequences discourages aggression, bullying, robbery, or violent crime. so jimmy might be correct actually.

[Discussion] Why do so many request posts get downvoted immediately?

Hi everyone, like the title suggests...

This isn't a game request. I just wanted to talk about something I've noticed on r/GiftofGames.

A lot of request posts seem to get downvoted almost as soon as they're posted, regardless of the effort put into them. I've seen detailed requests, heartfelt stories, and well-written posts sitting at 0 or negative scores within minutes.

I understand that not every request will appeal to everyone, and nobody is obligated to gift anyone. That's completely fair. But downvoting genuine requests simply because someone is asking for a game feels discouraging, especially for people who spend time writing thoughtful posts and following the subreddit rules.

The voting system is supposed to help surface quality content, not punish people for participating in the community. A request being downvoted doesn't make it more deserving or less deserving of a gift—it just makes it less visible.

I'm curious what others think. Have you noticed the same thing? Is there a reason behind it that I'm missing?

I love the idea behind this community and the generosity it encourages. I just think it'd be nice if requesters weren't immediately met with unexplained downvotes.

Thanks for reading.

[REQUEST][STEAM] Grand Theft Auto V Legacy

Hello everyone,

I'd like to request Grand Theft Auto V Legacy on Steam.

I've been a fan of the GTA series for years. I spent countless hours playing games like GTA: San Andreas and watching videos of GTA V, but I've never had the chance to own the game myself. GTA V Legacy is still the version I would love to experience because of its modding community, single-player content, and the freedom it gives players to explore Los Santos at their own pace. GTA V Legacy remains available as a Steam package for existing owners and has a long history on the platform.

Unfortunately, purchasing games is difficult for me. Regional pricing, payment limitations, and my current financial situation make it hard to buy games on Steam, even when they are discounted. Because of that, I'm hoping someone in this generous community might be willing to help me experience this game.

What excites me most is finally being able to play through the full story myself instead of only watching videos online. I'd also love to explore the world, try community-made mods, complete side activities, and simply enjoy everything the game has to offer.

I know many people are focused on newer releases now, but GTA V is still a game I've always wanted to properly experience for myself. If anyone is willing to gift it, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to read my request, and I hope you have a wonderful day.

[REQUEST][EPIC GAMES] Detroit: Become Human ($4.99 sale)

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a while and finally decided to make a request myself because Detroit: Become Human is currently on sale for only $4.99 on the Epic Games Store, and I probably won’t get another chance to buy it this cheap anytime soon.

I’ve always loved story-heavy games where your decisions actually matter and where the characters feel real. One of my favorite gaming experiences was playing Life is Strange because of how emotional and immersive it felt, and ever since then I’ve been looking for games that give off that same feeling. Detroit: Become Human has been on my wishlist for years because everyone says the story, atmosphere, music, and choices are incredible.

What interests me the most is how every decision can completely change the story and the fate of the characters. I love games that make you stop and think about your choices instead of just mindlessly playing. From what I’ve seen, Detroit does that perfectly. The whole futuristic setting mixed with emotional storytelling looks amazing, and I’ve intentionally avoided major spoilers for years because I always hoped I’d experience it myself someday.

Unfortunately, I can’t really afford games right now. Things have been tight financially, and even though $4.99 might not sound like much to some people, it’s still difficult for me to spend money on games at the moment. I usually wait for huge sales and try to make the most out of the few games I can get. Since this sale is happening right now, I thought maybe I’d take a chance and ask here before it ends.

I’d genuinely appreciate it a lot if someone could gift it to me. Even if nobody can, thank you for taking the time to read my post. I really appreciate communities like this where people help others experience games they otherwise couldn’t play.

[ALL] Just finished the game.

I finished the game about 2 hours ago and words literally cannot explain whatever this is. it's so quiet ever since I was done and I'm still trying to get an emotional reaction but nothing. I know that nothing ever will recreate a masterpiece such as this.
