NC Quickpass website—unusable on mobile

I’m in a trip and wanted to check my account since I drove on multiple toll roads.

When I log into the Quickpass website on my phone, it’s covered by a pop up titled “Confirm Demographic Information on Account” which asks me to confirm name, address, phone number, etc.

Ok but that popup is bigger than the iPhone screen so any buttons to confirm or dismiss are unreachable. If I try using Safari “hide distracting items” to get rid of it, it works but then the transactions list is also apparently pop-up that Safari nukes.

Has anyone had any luck checking tolls using mobile on the website?

MarleySpoon’s fulfillment company is bankrupt

In 2024 Marley Spoon sold its warehouse and fulfillment operations to FreshRealm, which also does BlueApron and Dinnerly. The quality and reliability of their deliveries immediately tanked.

This past April FreshRealm filed for bankruptcy.

The link above includes some interesting information including that the MarleySpoon business is 1/6th that of Blue Apron.

Anyway it goes without saying that the MarleySpoon supply chain is in turmoil right now.

Thinking of skipping the DCFC recall

When I saw the solution my first thought was “nope”.

My 2019 with 24k miles shows full battery health and the car is in nearly pristine condition. Guess o meter still shows full range when charged.

Car is only used for commuting and around town driving.

I have an L2 charger at home and use only it. Once the novelty wore off I stopped using L3 charging and haven’t done it for years. ChaDeMo is disappearing anyway.

The remedy says if the updated software detects a fault it will refuse to charge or start until a new battery is put in.

I don’t care about resale value…. Car was bought cheap six years ago and is long paid off.

Given the above why would I subject myself to the risk that the car will suddenly be commanded by software to nope out on me, to fix a problem with a feature I don’t use (L3 charging)?

Gmail confirmations to the wrong person

I’ve had Gmail for over 20 years. My wife uses Hotmail and was using her Hotmail as her Google login for years. Google apparently took that away so she created a Gmail account for the first time, so she could continue logging into Google.

But every time she wants to change something to her new account Gmail alerts me on my Gmail app and I have to approve it even though her account has never been signed in on my phone.

We do share a windows laptop so both of our accounts have been signed in there but that’s the only link. I am not her recovery address we checked that already. What gives here? How we can we break this link so she can work independently on her Gmail.

Also: she was on a Google group on her hotmail. Even though she did nothing to change her membership and never signed up for the group using her Gmail, the group emails are now coming to her Gmail account and not her Hotmail account.

She doesn’t want to switch to Gmail. She just created the Gmail address because Google forced her to in order to keep signing in. How can we stop all this?
