Vanquish C2000SHG

Nothing more exciting than a delivery from Tokyo! I wasn't waiting until November to buy it domestically and had a great experience with Bass-Tokyo. Actually saved about $75 and received it in 4 days to the northeast US where I am.

I purchased the 2500SHG several months ago and fell in love with it on my Megabass Addermine. With Fall trout coming up, I wanted to hook up my Whippet with the C2000SHG. Absolutely beautiful reel and a bit smaller than my Vanford C2000HG which is great. The shallow spool is so nice putting PE 0.6 on without backing. Couple pics of the reel and the twins

Amazing Experience in Juneau

Thought I'd share some feedback for people visiting Juneau. We had the best time staying there for 5 days a few weeks ago and wanted to thank the local community for being so friendly! We're not cruise people and decided to fly in and just stay there and explore.

Food: important to us and was blown away at the restaurant options and quality of food. Some of our favorites were: In Boca al Lupo - as NJ/NY pizza snobs, this place was amazing to us. Actually now in my top 3 of favorite all time. Sandpiper Cafe was perfect and delicious for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed eating there each morning and already miss it. At the tourist spots, the Red Dog saloon was lots of fun and their pulled pork sandwich was memorable. Then for a quick afternoon snack, we really enjoyed a beer at Alaskan Brewing Public House along with halibut bites appetizer.

Sites: Kayaking out of Douglas Island was incredible. Spectacular views of the glacier and beautiful water. The Alaska State Museum was such an enjoyable experience to walk through and learn so much about Alaska. The visuals there were awesome. Exploring around town and taking a day trip to Douglas filled our days with so much fun and beautiful surroundings.

Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be going back again.

My first time catching salmon outside of Alaska and landed this 18" legal beauty from the kayak this afternoon. Can't wait to enjoy it tomorrow night for dinner!

NKD - Mini Taggedout in OD Green G10 / S45VN

Always wanted one of these for the rotation and couldn't pass up a good deal on Govx. Super smooth action out of the box and tight locking. I'm really liking this one for a small EDC! Added a family pic too!

Officially on the water in my portable Oru!

Recently purchased this Oru Lake Sport and equipped it with a rod holder and small fish finder. It's a modest setup but works surprisingly well. Love the portability and storage in my apartment closet. Already landed some nice ones on it too!

Luke Clausen Dirty Jigs - Finesse

I'm officially a fan of these jigs. Bought a few the other day to test out and they performed extremely well navigating some rough structures from the kayak. Hookset was quite nice with the sharp point hook. Running with a 3.5" Keitech Swing Impact

First Bass off the Oru Kayak!

Recently purchased my Oru folding kayak to reach some remote areas and deeper water. Caught thousands of bass over the years but my very first one from a kayak! This thing is awesome backpacking it to the lake and fishing within minutes. I know I sound like a paid spokesperson but it's really amazing

Fishing Rod Holder Placement on Lake Sport

In case anyone is interested in a rod holder I just installed mine on the Lake Sport. Took me a little while to temporarily tape it, fold the kayak and unfold to ensure it doesn't get in the way. This placement works very well to have stationary while paddling. Just need to unclip the holder from the base when folding up.

My maiden voyage on the Lake Sport

My first time taking out my Lake Sport today and it exceeded expectations. Much more stable than expected and I found that it tracked great...even without putting the fin on. I've been staring at this little island at the lake for months and it was so cool to paddle out to it and fish from it. Appreciated the quick setup while others were blowing their kayaks up for a half hour

21" PA Bow on the Addermine

Finally broke my 19" record for the year with this 21" PA bow! Awesome fight on the Addermine with 8lb Xbraid. Smashed a Megabass x80 jr jerkbait on a long distance cast

Megabass GH64-FS

New favorite hard bait from MB. Absolute rocket casting these, clearing 200'+ on an Addermine/Vanquish combo using Xbraid x8 pe1. Slow retrieve action is quite nice. Anyone using them?

Keitech Football Jig Trailer Options

I've been having great success with 1/4oz Keitech Football jigs paired with a 3.5" Swing Impact. My two favorites are pictured here depending on water conditions. What are you guys using for trailers? Love the Keitech Swing Impact but they don't seem to last very long

July 4th Weekend Highlights in NJ

Anyone else get some good time on the water this weekend? Here's a couple of my highlights

u/YogurtclosetBroad872 — 2 months ago

Megabass Uoze Swimmer

Anyone use these with success? Just picked them up and put on a Keitech 3.5" Swing Impact trailer. I'd hit it if I was a bass but curious on anyone's feedback

Joined the club, does this look correct?

Excited to finally get out on the lake and reach some remote areas to fish. Really got this to get to the other side and fish from the shore and not necessarily to fish from. First go at setting it up. Does it look like I did it correctly?

Slow morning but not skunked! NJ LMB

X-Rap produced early morning! Few other smaller ones on drop shots. Anyone have luck today?

Keitech Crazy Flapper

After my post of what I use for bass yesterday, some people were telling me I need to expand my bait choices. I broke out the Kirisame and worked some Keitech Crazy Flappers on a jig. First cast with nice slow bottom contact!
