I have been thinking about getting a small desktop cnc for a while now and am finally getting to make the space for it in form of a workshop. The one I had my eyes on is the carvera air However with my previous research I haven’t really been able to find out much about where to get files. I’m used to 3D printing and files aren’t hard to find there, but from what I’ve heard stl’s usually can’t be used for cnc

Modelling myself would be nice and all yeah and I wish to learn it some day but honestly with everything else I want to do, it’s not something I’ll realistically learn anytime soon, so I’m really just looking for models

I’m a huge Star Wars nerd and would be interested in crafting lightsaber parts etc. on the cnc. I don’t mind paying something for the files (if it’s not hundreds of dollars)

Ich hab mir letzten Monat neu eine easybank (ehemals Barclays) Kreditkarte zugelegt. Sicherheitshalber hab ich auf 100% Abbuchung gestellt, weil ich dachte die 2€ bucht es nur ab wenn der Saldo tatsächlich auch im minus ist. Wurde jetzt aber trotzdem abgebucht Jetzt ist die Frage, wie kann ich das vermeiden? Wenn ich immer Geld einzahle vor Monatsende um den Saldo ins Plus zu bringen und auf 3% stelle, wird mir dann sicher weder die 2€ noch irgendwelche Zinsen abgebucht?

If I book a hotel during the ticket purchasing process, will the hotels be cancellable or non refundable? I don’t know for sure if I can go yet and I’m already risking the ticket price

Ich fahre ca. Einmal im Monat nach Zürich, von einem deutschen Grenzbahnhof. Früher ging es nie die Tickets in der DB App zu buchen wenn es ein Grenzbahnhof ist. Daher hab ich immer am deutschen automaten gebucht, weil bei der SBB zu buchen immer fast doppelt so teuer war.

Heute fahre ich wieder, grade ist komplett Baustelle am Deutschen Bahnhof und kein Ticket Automat war zugänglich. Ticket Buchung war über Navigator jetzt auch möglich, allerdings auch zum doppelten Preis wie bei SBB. Wurden die Preise hier angepasst, weiß da jemand mehr ? Kotzt mich jetzt schon sehr an das es aufeinmal das doppelte kostet.

I have a huge order I’m about to make to get in all the stuff before Europe’s new toll rules arrive in 2 months. I never made an order this big (250€+) and was wondering if it makes sense to wait until may first. I’ve heard before that on the first day of the month stuff is generally cheaper. Will I be able to get the price down by a noticeable amount if I wait ?
