Is the support for Telus home security absolutely atrocious?

I’ve had two calls with them regarding garage door sensor and on both cases they’ve made me factory reset and setup the whole home security system from scratch using remote video session.

Each session took 1.5 hours and the issue wasn’t resolved. The support team for home security seems to be located in Philippines and they seem to be more direct or even sometimes a bit rude when troubleshooting the issue.

Has anyone had similar experience recently?

Ecolink ZWave Plus Garage Door Tilt Sensor (TILTZWAVE5-ECO) security by Telus Canada (alarm.com)

Des anyone have experience with Ecolink ZWave Plus Garage Door Tilt Sensor (Z-Wave Plus Garage Door Tilt Sensor | Ecolink)?

I connected this to my home security system and it connected file with no issues, but it doesn't show on the panel or the app. When I checked the settings, there is no option to bring this device to the main screen even though it shows as the listed connected devices.

What kind of amplifier do I need to hook up the speakers?

I found these cables in the basement and I believe they are for the speakers. I counted 4 speakers in the house in total. What kind of wireless/ethernet amplifier would work with these?

Life Fitness Club Series for home use? (noise levels and 20A electrical usage)

I am thinking of buying a Life Fitness Club Series treadmill for home use in the basement, but the sales people scared my wife about the electrical 20A amperage (electric bill) and the noise level compared to the home treadmills.

I can always get an electrician to install a 20A dedicated outlet and I don't think the noise level is that high to travel through the floors in a house.

Does it make sense to go with a high end home treadmill or stick with the commercial Life Fitness Club Series?

I use the treadmill daily for walking for inclined 15 speed 3 for one hour and normally don't run on the treadmill. I sometimes use 20 pounds weighted vest or carry some weights (dumbbells) while I walk on the treadmill.

So is the electric and and noise an issue with commercial treadmills and is Life Fitness Club Series a good choice?

The separation between My Files and My Computer is driving me nuts? (Proton Drive)

I just want a simple cloud backup, and Proton Drive feels way too complicated. I genuinely don’t understand the intended design behind this product.

I have multiple laptops, PCs, and phones, and all I want is a cloud drive where I can easily share and access files across devices. I recently started using Proton Drive since it’s included with the Unlimited plan, but honestly, it’s been really frustrating.

I don’t understand how people actually use this product. For example, I backed up a PDF from my phone, then tried to access it on my desktop, and the file literally doesn’t exist in the Proton Drive desktop app.

The file shows up on my phone under “My Files” in Proton Drive, but I can’t access it from the desktop app at all.

This was one of the features I was hoping to get real value from with the subscription, but now I’m seriously considering switching to another cloud drive.

Boss health bar bug?

In some boss fights, I notice the boss’s health bar is grayed out and it seems like the boss is immune to damage. Is this a bug or intended?

Thinking about getting Kinetico Water Softener and Kinetico RO (How will they co-exist)?

I am considering buying the Kinetico Water Softener (4060MR) and Kinetico Drinking Water System (K5) for the kitchen sink. I've had the Kenetico A200 for some years and super happy with it so planning to stay with Kinetico even though it's very expensive. I've never had a water softener system before.

My question is how would the RO system for the drinking water work when there is a water softener already installed on the main line. Will the RO system actually be useful to have and will the membrane get damaged because of the salt used in the water softener system? Will the RO filters last a lot longer since the water has already gone through the softener?

Note: I live in a city so it will be regular city water with fluoride, chorine, fairly average hardness etc.

Can we talk about how smooth and precise is the platforming and jumping/landing in Saros?

First before people lose their shit, I understand this is not a platforming game, but it definitely has sections that require some platforming and perfect timing not to get hit.

That said, as someone who is terrible at platforming games, I felt the jumping and landing were incredibly precise. In most other games, I always feel a bit of a nudge when landing on a platform. It’s like the game pushes you slightly forward by half a step when you land, which makes it difficult to get that smooth experience.

In Saros, I never turned back from a path that required platforming, even when I was low on health, because I had confidence that I could do it.

I know Returnal had good platforming as well, but I felt it was a bit more floaty in some of the jumps, but Saros has perfected this.

I recently upgraded to proton premium plan and I see a feature in the proton drive to import photos. I prefer to store my photos as general files and not a big fan of Google Photos, one drive photos etc.

I see proton doesn’t offer a photos app which is good, but why does the drive try to import the photos instead of allowing the user to just copy them as a folder to the drive?
