Shareholders

Hi, A friend of mine is looking for shareholders. Look, they have a startup(chama space) name will be changing soon to accommodate all they offer, it deals with finances. It is fully working, and I have tested some of its features.
• Saving, create a goal and save while earning interest
• Group saving
• Chamas table banking
• And a feature that I recommend you try is the expense tracker
He says that since they deal with finances, they have approached both the CBK and CMA for licensing. Among the requirements given is that the company must have more than 3 shareholders/directors. Currently, they are only 2 so they are looking for people who can join. They are looking for someone who possesses skills that can be crucial to the success of the company. They are heavy on marketing, as this is an area in which they lack. Someone in tech or finance will also be appreciated. Or if you have some funds to invest (the licenses are not cheap). And a woman for gender balance. This is not a job, so there’s no salary. You are joining an early-stage company, and you will get some shares in return.

It’s my birthday today.
Over 30 wishes before I even posted anything. People I barely expected remembered. Someone I interned with and a Rwandese guy I met once on a trip last year.
And yet… silence from my family.
Well samburu has been kind☺️ I hope y’all get to visit someday.

My younger brother just told me he doesn’t want to go back to boarding school, and I’m really conflicted.

For context, he had been called to a school in Western, but I managed to get him into a good national school closer to home. It’s honestly a solid school…..good performance, decent food (by boarding school standards 😅), and a good balance of academics and co-curriculars.

Now after this holiday, he’s saying he hates boarding school completely and doesn’t want to go back.

The issue is, he hasn’t given me any clear reason .

just “mimi boarding apana.”

I know how Kenyan boarding schools can be 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ Don’t we all have testimonies? Or rumblings?

Well….sometimes it’s just adjustment (homesickness, strict routine, etc.), but sometimes there’s more going on that they’re not saying.

I don’t know whether to push him to go back and give it time, or

take him seriously and move him to a day school

Thoughts please?? Thank you !
