Well… today reminded me that, despite everything, I still want to love and be loved.

At this point, Nairobi isn't expensive anymore, it's becoming a city where you're just trying to survive. Rent keeps shooting up, groceries are ridiculous, transport is up, electricity is up... but salaries? Those have been on silent mode for years.
How are ordinary Kenyans supposed to keep up when our incomes stay the same but the cost of existing increases every other month?
It honestly feels like we're working just to afford the privilege of going back to work the next day.
Is anyone else dealing with these insane rent hikes, or is my landlord just auditioning for the Olympics of greed?
