[Collecting] How rushed are Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Spider-Man?

I'm set on collecting these two in trades but I'm curious.

Does the quality dip too much when the writers got blindsided by Marvel? Or am I still in for a short, sweet, but open-ended finale?

Looking for "Competence Porn" movies where the characters are locked in

I'm looking for movies where there's a group of people planning the HECK out of the problem they got themselves into, preferably hard science fiction but I'm open to other genres.

Something like:

  • The Martian
  • Project Hail Mary
  • Interstellar ("It's impossible." "No, it's necessary.")
  • All the planning scenes in Apollo 13, ESPECIALLY Apollo 13
  • Tremors
  • The 1st half of Oppenheimer

Planning to go to Gundam Base Pop Up

Any good deals na in-stock pa?

Or cheaper exclusive/P-Bandai kits?

I'm looking for an HG Byarlant from the Unicorn series (yung "Kobe Byarlant") pero tbh gusto ko lang puntahan yung store for the experience

at mukha namang maraming stock ng MG Qant and/or MG Turn A so di talaga empty-handed hehe

Edit: meron pa bang MG ng RX-78-2 na 2.0?

A bit of black comedy....

The MCU Fantastic Four's first movie is about preventing the end of their planet via cosmic horror.

That's right! There are things out there that can just outright delete planets and there's just the 4 of you to figure things out.

They are hopelessly outmatched and barely won the day with major sacrifices.

...

And now this family has to grapple with the fact that an entire multiverse exists and everyone and everything is about to die.

Multiversal Annihilation

But there will be movies after this so...

Where do they go from here???

Is Batman still scary after all the years he's been active?

I think Batman's scare factor would have gone down over the years.

During Year One, he's like this mysterious creature from hell. But then suddenly, he's adopting these children in brightly colored outfits who quip a lot, deflating the tension. He's also using this technology, so there's no way he's supernatural. He's just a VERY competent man.

And then he joined the Justice League, a team that operates in broad daylight. He's a hero!

Word's gone out that he takes care of kids and is very gentle with handling civilians.

There's memorabilia everywhere, including PLUSHIES + that messed-up burger joint that made a theme about a deranged serial killer.

Aside from the usual fear of getting absolutely destroyed Arkham Batman style, is Batman still scary on a normal night?

What could actually kill Doctor Who?

Doctor Who is too deeply ingrained in pop culture, it's never going to be fully gone.

Because I know that at worst (I think we'll be back 2028) we're just in for Wilderness Years 2.0, what could even kill Doctor Who? Aside from the collapse of civilisation, of course.

It's been here for 60 years! And it's not like there's 0 content, expanded universe material will keep on keeping on.

What to play after Crow Country?

I had a great time in that theme park...

What game should I follow it up with? I'm looking for more classic titles/throwbacks to classic titles. Signalis and Alisa are already on my radar, but I'm looking for more games that aren't TOO scary. I'm in it for plot, puzzles, and creepy vibes.

Some other stuff:

- I don't like difficult games

- OG Resident Evil 2 is amazing, but the idea of facing Nemesis in 3 makes me hesitate playing that one

- I have not played RE 1 or its Remake (even then, my PC can only run up until RE 6 so no to the modern remakes)

- I have a potato PC

Superman Triangle Era vol 1 or Flash by Mark Waid vol 1?

I'm interested in owning a DC Omnibus of stories from the 80s/90s that isn't Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison (I adore dat book).

I've heard good things about Waid's run and the book supposedly has one of the best Flash stories period. But the Triangle Era soap opera/massive interconnecting story sounds interesting.

Sooo which one should I go for first?
