Blew my five new accounts on the second day

I drove Lyft every try night after work for a whole week. Recently for 5 days (100 dollars a night) straight in a row and to buy my new set of five 50k evals and copy trade them. Blew them all this morning on the second day.

It’s been an 8 month journey for me so far. About 22,000 dollars spent on evals and account resets.

I’ve passed evals I’ve taken payouts but I’m back at square one.

The $1114.26 you see from my Lyft driver earnings I pretty much spent most of that buying evals and resetting them.

Not giving up though.

Almost two years after being dumped I’m putting myself out there again. Any advice for my profile?

100% acceptance rate. They love me 😅

Finally achieved that 100% acceptance rate. If only it wasn’t for that one passenger that gave me a four star I’d be having almost perfect stats.

Regardless, I know that Lyft loves me with this acceptance rate and they’ll never deactivate me because I’m a very profitable driver for their benefit. 😅

It finally happened🤩

Finally. I received the inevitable rude driver complaint after hundreds of 5 star rides I got my first 4 star for reasons that they won’t tell me other than a vague “rude driver.” Yay🤩🙌

SoCal Prius drivers, how is the hot weather affecting your vehicle?

It’s definitely killing my MPGs in my 2016 Prius. I normally get 51-52 AVG MPG.

Lately it’s more like 38-41 AVG MPG.

Am just curious. Even if I baby the gas pedal it seems like it’s struggling to average anything over 50 MPG.

Prop 22 payment come through. Y’all can chill out now.

Better late than never. I didn’t drive as much last pay period so I only got $34 dollars but I know some people were expecting a big amount so here you go.

Roast my driver stats

I’m never getting deactivated with that 99% AR. I’m one of the company’s most profitable drivers (for the company’s benefit) that they can take advantage of lol.

This isn’t my main job fyi. I do this mostly on my days off and after my Ubreakifix shift.

I use Lyft income mainly to fund my prop firm trading venture.

Shout out to Lyft for helping fund my trading journey with just under $20,000 in the last six months lol.

Cheers till I become a profitable trader!

Lyft decreased pay mid-trip

This is the first time I’ve ever seen something like this. Base pay decreased from $15.07 to $10.07. The only reason it went back up to $15.66 at the end was because of the $5.59 tip. Any idea what happened?

Anyways at least I managed to hit my goal for tonight. $105.19 for 3 hours and 55 minutes of online time after clocking out of my day job.

I also made an additional $21.50 from a few DoorDash orders in between Lyft trips today.

Total earnings today:

Day job at Ubreakifix: $150
Lyft: $105.19 plus $6 cash tip
DoorDash: $21.50

$282.69 total

Struggling in my faith after my breakup

Long story short: ex fiancé discarded me 1 year and 7 months ago.

She used God as one of her excuses saying “I want God to choose my husband.”

After the breakup she reached out about two months after telling me “the Lord gives me all the reassurance I need and I have zero regrets ☺️”

She went from saying “God blessed me with you” and “I’ll never leave you” to “God has someone else for me.”

Ever since then I’ve been struggling in my own faith as a Christian.

I stopped going to church. It reminds me of her. Her and I used to go together during our relationship. I feel like God is against me now meanwhile she’s out there washing her hands of all the wrong she did to me in the name of Jesus while I’m still hurting and picking up the pieces.

I haven’t stopped believing in God nor am I walking away from my faith. I just really resent God and I feel like he took her away from me after 3 years and 4 months.

I went through a lot with her and I even lost my virginity to her. I want her back still and till this day I feel a heaviness in my chest everyday from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep.

I spend most of my Sundays in isolation and solitude now. I go out to the park or beach and sit by myself in silence and peace. Church is very emotionally triggering for me now.

It’s a loud heavy silence that I carry with me everyday.

Serious question. How to improve steering?

For whatever reason I can never improve my steering score in Smooth Cruiser but everything else including speed, braking, and mounted phone is perfect. Any tips?

“You can make more working at McDonald’s” 🤦‍♂️

I no longer drive Uber but I do drive for Lyft. Same type of work

Anyways to everyone who has this mentality about “working at McDonald’s is better than rideshare.”

McDonald’s also doesn’t let you work 12 hours a day and you’re limited to whatever hours they give you which is usually less than 15 hours a week. I literally forgot how toxic this subreddit is. No other job will let you gross just under 2k every week and most jobs give you very limited hours. What the hell am I gonna do on only 15 hours a week at McDonald’s or a retail job? I work at Ubreakifix 40 hours a week two days off at $25 per hour. Then I log in to drive Lyft after work for four hours and bring in another 100 per night and then on my day off I try to do 10-12 hours. That allows me to bring in 5-6k a month depending on how hard I grind. I combine rideshare with my W2 job so it’s not like all my money is going to vehicle expenses.

Rideshare and gig work isn’t glorious but it’s saved me time after time from going broke from just relying on my day job.

Also, this isn’t my long term career. I’m mainly using rideshare and gig work to fund my prop firm day trading career. I’ve invested over $20,000 into evals and funded accounts over the past six months and will continue to do so until I become consistently profitable. I literally would not be able to afford my tuition to the markets if it wasn’t for gig work.

I get it. Rideshare and other gig companies are greedy. Like any giant corporation. But that’s because humans are naturally selfish and only care about themselves. With that said. No one is out to get you but no one is coming to save you either. If rideshare works for you and it’s what helps you achieve your personal goals then more power to you.

$400 July 4th!

It finally happened. For the first time in Lyft I managed to pull off 12 hours of driving until the app kicked me off for a required break. $397 plus a $3 cash tip! Started off in the San Fernando Valley and end the day in the beautiful city of Long Beach. What a great day it was I genuinely enjoyed it

Trip flagged for phone calls?

The shit that people report just to get a free ride. I never talk on the phone during a trip so I don’t know why I received such feedback. I normally play melancholic pop music or lofi and that’s it. Good thing I just recently installed a dashcam in my car after driving Lyft for five months in case I ever need to appeal anything.

Why does it seem to slow down the last week of the month?

Despite Lyft app saying 1-4 minute wait it seems like a forever wait. Are there just more drivers suddenly going online because rent is due for the upcoming month? That’s my theory. Might log on to DoorDash and see what’s up there if it continues to be slow for Lyft.

That rare but satisfying moment when the battery is fully charged

Very rare and very hard to charge the battery fully. This usually happens when going downhill south on the 405 freeway coming from the Valley into the Westside in Los Angeles.

2016 Toyota Prius. Over 167,000 miles on it. I drive this car for gig work including Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon Flex, Spark, and Roadie. Not a single problem with it.
