she flailed her arms dramatically while staring into my soul until I lifted her off of the damn brick

How can I tell if this is truly petrified wood?

It's harder than a piece of wood but almost looks too new to be truly petrified. I found it underneath my neighbor's demolished deck.

Anyone willing to help diagnose my Kia Soul's A/C?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to diagnose the A/C on my 2016 Kia Soul and need to check the high-side pressure. The low side is reading normal, so I need a manifold gauge set to continue troubleshooting.

If anyone has a set, I'd be more than happy to meet you wherever is convenient. You don't even have to lend them to me, I can bring the car to you, and if you'd rather hook the gauges up yourself, that's totally fine with me. I just need to see what the high-side pressure is.

I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Sir? Are you alright?

I was trying to get a video of this beetle rolling tortoise dung but he froze when I started recording and then fell over? I watched him for several seconds and he curled up and didn't move. I haven't checked if it's still there but is that normal? Defense mechanism maybe? Is he dead? Also what the hell kind of beetle is this? Thank you

You wouldn't download a car...

Definitely not the first to do this, but I cut this out on my vinyl machine a while back. IYKYK.

Soul siblings 🩶

The first photo is Joey, who I adopted in 2014 when he was six months old. He passed away from FIV in August 2023.

In March 2025, I was visiting my gran's gravesite with my mom when we heard meowing. We looked around and found her. The photo on the right is Zoey. We have a small family graveyard on the property, and the house had been abandoned for about a year, so we figured she had probably belonged to a relative who had been squatting there.

She had worms, was pregnant, and was skinnier than you could imagine. She'd been snuggling up to a horse on the property that belonged to another family member, and thankfully, the horse was well cared for.

She reminds me so much of Joey at first glance. They have the same eyes and so many of the same little features, but their personalities couldn't be more different. I named her after him because she felt like a little piece of him had found her way back to me.

Cornbread in her corn den

She's been hard at work for 4+ days. She goes back to her fenced enclosure on her own when the sun sets and I close and lock her gate. I wanted a longer time lapse but my SD card filled surprisingly fast 😄
