Modified the air filter housing to add whatever it is that was missing. My research highlighted this type of air filter housing was only used on a few Evo1's and was used on this event.

I've also made the brake cooling ducts using some flexible tube, filled with super glue and squashed to create the tips and some rubber cord from Renaissance models to make the ducting hose.

The right side isn't routed yet as the glue is still drying on the tip.

I've also painted the rear hatch and will have the decals applied in a couple days once the paint has fully hardened.

Been working on the missing ducts.

Spent the last couple days getting the 3d printed ducts from USCP fitted and blended in.

It's now primed and ready for paint.

In the process I had to modify the rear window by trimming the excess plastic used for fitting off.

Now I can just about slide the window up from the bottom and the ducts pin it in place.

Work to finalise the interior

Added some switches and missing buttons/lamps to the dash. Found 6 3d printed switches in my spares from an old KMP build but I lost 3 when trying to glue then in place. So had to replace with bits of rod. See if you can spot which ones.

I also scratch built a handset for the radio from an old sprue gate.

Everything all installed and the final pic is of the side panels with the finishing touches added with fuse wire for the door release and strips of masking tape for the pull and check straps.

These were installed after the pictures were taken to finish off the chassis. I just need to get the glass into the body before that can be attached and installed.

Quick shot of the finished belts. Just logos to add.

Been working on these for the past couple days.

All parts for the harnesses come from my spares box.

A mix of 3d printed buckles and etch ones from previous KMP, Beemax and Belkits models. Even the ribbon is left over from Belkits or KMP.

And the 2 different ways the crotch belt is fitted is accurate to Vatanen and Harryman.

When you need eyelets

Getting ready to install the seats and harnesses. Needed some eyelets and not enough in the spares box. But what I did find was some photoetch rings. So I cut some discs from plastic rod and glued the rings to it.

Pic 2 is fitted in place after painting.

Pic 3 is the finished seats. Painted, decaled and the etch rails installed.

90% done with the engine bay.

Lots of fiddly progress with the fuel injection system lines. It's finally done and the rear of the roll cage is glued in. The front is just placed for now.

All that left to do for the engine bay is the air filter and make the cooling ducts. But that will be after the front body is attached.

I've been making steady progress with the interior.

Scratch build an ECU and added some wiring routed as per the factory cars. Just a few touch ups in the paint and the seats and dash to get this finished as well.

Spent what free time I had today finishing the framing on the other seat and got the fronts painted.

I also needed a handheld fire extinguisher. So what better way to make one than to raid the spares box. This Lancia Stratos exhaust with some simple mods makes a good substitute. It also comes with a handle for painting lol.

Today has been spent attaching all the hoses and sub assemblies, scratch building the coils etc.

Probably another days work in the engine bay to go.

u/ajac01 — 16 days ago

Today's focus has been detail painting what needs it. Assemble the parts that need to be done prior to installing the engine/transmission assembly.

The major headache was installing the fuel pumps and fuel lines.

The plumbing for the oil cooler is the next step before slowly installing all the little sub-assemblies I've been working on.

Pic 1: Tamiya seat on the left which has the wrong shape. Middle and right are the seats from Beemax Lancia Delta S4 which have the correct shape. I removed the molded reinforcements and replaced them with the correct pattern for Peugeot as seen on the right.

Pic 2: A better shot at the modifications to the Beemax seat.

Pics 3 and 4: These show the air scoops from USCP that are also missing from the Tamiya kit. And what I didn't realise at the time of purchase, these also come with the brackets for the rear hatch. This saves me having to make these.

Hoping to have a lot more interesting progress to post tomorrow. If everything goes to plan.
