After around 3 months, I have finished running Light of Xarxyis AMA

So in summary, I’m running a spelljammer campaign where basically the focus is more so on running various adventures from different editions of spelljammer for my party, with many different characters and many different storylines (essentially there isn’t 1 overarching story, but a focus on the setting). The most recent storyline I did was Light of Xarxyis. I ran it mostly as written, the main changes being that Captain Sartell was a PC, and I added more potential allies in the doom space section (another faction of non-astral elf elves). Ask me anything about this campaign!

What’s everyone’s opinions on the new books?

Pretty self explanatory, but what do you all think of the books? Overall I’m pleased, I mean the arcana unleashed book is mainly an updated version of old
subclasses, and stat blocks, but I still think it’s good. I also enjoyed the new factions included.
Then the adventure I like a lot from reading it so far. I’m happy to have an adventure not in the sword coast, particularly Thay, I’m a big fan of the red wizards and Thay lore and stuff.

So I’ve had the digital versions since they were released, but just got my physicals today. Got the alt-cover for the adventure, but not the sourcebook (mainly cause I didn’t order early enough, but I also didn’t really have a preference between the alt-cover or regular version for the book. But I liked the deadfall alt cover a lot).

Two more books in my collection

No real reason I put these 2 together, I just got them both at around the same time from the same place so I put both of these together. If anyone has suggestions of more books to collect from older editions, please let me know. Also feel free to ask any questions about these books!

A Copy of “The Horde” Campaign Setting for FR

Another piece of my DnD collection. I was very pleasantly surprised just how much stuff came with this box. Plenty of maps, books, handouts, etc. Idk when, but this definitely would be a great concept for a campaign, doing an invasion of Faerun storyline similar to the mongols irl.

Some More New Pickups for my collection

So for a while I’ve been making posts of things I collect. I’ve also been asking for recommendations people have of books and supplements (which I’m always open to more 😁), but here are some of my newest pickups!

- Book of Vile Darkness, Official Hardcover
- Draconomicon
- Unapproachable East
- Silver Marches POD (was pretty cheap, even though I don’t usually buy PoD’s).

Hope you enjoy!

New Addition to my DnD Book Collection

I’ve gotten really into collecting older edition books, since I own basically all the 5e books I have any desire to own. Usually I’m a forgotten realms guy, but I really enjoy the Modron and this book/campaign really caught my eye!👁️

New Addition to my DnD Book Collection

I’ve made plenty of posts in this community, I made one recently asking for suggestions about books to collect. And I was able to pick up a copy of “Grand History of the Realms”. So I definitely am geeking out over this!

What are the best/favorite 2e and 3/3.5 books?

So basically I have gotten really into collecting older edition DnD books. Mainly from 2 and 3/3.5 (but I’m open to 1e and 4e as well). Cause I own basically all the 5e books that I have any desire to own at this point. So I guess my questions is simple. What things should I start collecting next? I’m open to whatever. I’ve been looking at old Undermountain books, I don’t really want spelljammer stuff/I already have digital copies of most of the stuff I want. I like planescape a lot. So give me some feedback. Amy questions are welcome!?

P.S Just added a random video of some of the books I own. Cause for some reason Reddit can’t seem to access most of my photos. But that’s another issue.

- Spellbound Box Set
- Menzoberanzen Box Set
- Kara-Tur Box Set
- Maztica Box Set
- Lost Empires of Faerun
- The Horde Box Set
- City of Splendors Box Set
- Deities and Demigods
- Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting 3.5
- Grand History of the Realms
- Power of Faerun
- Underdark 3.5
- Mysteries of the Moonsea
- The Great Modron March
- Frostburn
- Fiendish Codes 1 and 2

Best adventure in Adventurer’s League module

So recently I’ve been looking more into using adventurers league modules as either a way to do side quests in the main campaigns the various seasons are based around or simply using them as mini-campaigns/one shots when I don’t have anything to run. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of the interesting stuff that happens in a few of the adventures. So I’m curious what everyone’s favorite AL adventure for the “Plague of Ancients”/RotFM Season is?

Edit: Really don’t understand the negative reception this has caused. Was just trying to make a post and ask the community a simple question. But whatever I guess. Just another reason why Reddit has the reputation it does. My bad I guess.

While I won’t spoil, a certain one related to the storm king I definitely found interesting.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by some of the interesting stuff that happens in a few of the adventures. So I’m curious what everyone’s favorite “season” of adventurers league is? As of now I’m pretty close between Dream of Red wizards and the Storm Kings Thunder seasons.

Edit: Also feel free to include particular adventures from adventurers league you like as well!
