MAY 20: 47 years since the release of “I Was Made for Lovin’ You”

The song that made Kiss blend hard rock with disco... A lot of fans hated it at first… and even some members of Kiss hated it too. Yet somehow, it still became one of the band’s most iconic songs ever

I swear I would’ve loved to experience that whole era in real time… the clubs, the rockstars, the chaos, the glitter, the feeling that music was completely taking over the world!!!

Why does every perfect coffee table feel like the beginning of a new life?

This salmon completely ruined regular salmon for me!

Tried the salmon at "Platillos Voladores" restaurant in Cali, Colombia and I’m still thinking about it. Perfect texture, super fresh, and the flavor was unreal. One of those dishes where everyone at the table suddenly goes silent because they’re too busy eating

It’s called “Macadamia Salmon,” made with a macadamia sauce I’ve never tasted anywhere else! I mean… it’s “just” salmon, but I have no idea how they cook it because the flavor is SO insanely delicious.

If you can try it, dont miss the change!!!!

What makes the biggest difference in an espresso martini: the espresso itself or the coffee liqueur?

I tried making an espresso martini recently and realized how much the actual espresso changes the drink. Mine tasted way better with a darker roast and a fresher shot, but I’m still experimenting with ratios and texture.

For people who make espresso martinis often: what detail improved yours the most? Espresso quality, shake technique, vodka, coffee liqueur, sweetness, crema, ice quality?

Did you know Colombia has a cocktail called "Poisoned Lulada"?

Poisoned Lulada 🍹🔥

Ingredients:

  • 4 lulos (naranjilla fruits)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Ice
  • 2 oz aguardiente or white rum
  • Optional: condensed milk or lime juice

Instructions:

  1. Peel the lulos and blend the pulp lightly with water. Do not overblend, the texture should stay rustic.
  2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Pour over a glass full of ice.
  4. Add the aguardiente or rum.
  5. Stir and enjoy your “Lulada Envenenada”

Optional twist:
Add a splash of condensed milk for a creamier version or lime juice for extra freshness.

Any advice for getting your first pull-up as a woman?

I’ve been training consistently and getting stronger, but my first real pull-up still feels impossible. I can do assisted pull-ups and negatives with bands, but I can’t fully get there yet. I’ve been practicing for three months now. I’ve been working out for 10 years.

What helped you the most? Grip strength, bands, lat exercises, losing weight, just practicing more…? I’d love to hear what finally made it “click” for you.
