Central Belters Box Set

I'll try this post again, forgot to blank my address when I posted this yesterday. Thank to those who reminded me, which was why I deleted the original post. Anyways picked this almost mint copy of this box set up on Discogs from a seller in France. I was hammered for custom charges, handling and VAT. Regardless I am very happy to finally have this incredible release on vinyl. I've also got the 3CD and HiRes flac versions.

I honestly think if I had to pick 10 releases from my entire collection of music to only listen to for the rest of my life, this would be my first pick. Its the perfect artist compilation.

Next on my list MYT, COYD and Special Moves box sets.

Hull FC highest average attendance since 2010

Given the stinker of a season we've had, I think us black and whites must enjoy the pain of watching home defeats. I am convinced that if we had a half decent season we could top 15k average for the season.

Corduroy Plants - new film from 2025 Love Earth tour

The new Corduroy Plants film is available on the front page of the NYA contrarian. I watched it this morning, running order slightly changed from the As Time Explodes album and. Couple of tracks dropped. Overall I enjoyed it but felt the footage over the intro to Cortez The Killer felt like a Sledgehammer to my head, the eco destruction footage at the end was equally heavy. I would have much preferred seeing footage of the band nail probably the best Cortez ever. I doubt I’ll watch that section again, which is shame. I was really hoping After The Goldrush from Hyde Park had made the cut and would have worked a treat over the end credits rather that a snippet of This Notes For You. 7/10.

Silvers Bakehouse Farsley

Second visit to Silvers Bakehouse in Farsley, I last went on opening day. I turned up at 11am and was 2nd in line and wow the food is sensational. They have expanded their menu and added extra ovens in the bakery. The pastrami focaccia sando was superb. Too big to finish, so will have the other half tomorrow for lunch. The confit garlic focaccia 👌also the jalapeño and vintage chedder sausage roll. Finally got a crème brûlée custard tart which was off the dial great.

Highly recommended, though note only open Fri/Sat/Sun 11:30 to 16:00 or sell out. Be prepared to queue.

Meet Barbara

I was left an inheritance from my Godmother Barbara a while back and used it to pay half the cost of this amazing Fender Jazzmaster Ultra, so had to name it Barbara in her honour.

Spending over £2k on a guitar is not something I would normally do but no regrets on this one, it’s fantastic.
