I always cry with Charlotte in this scene

I haven’t dealt with fertility issues but I had undiagnosed and untreated ADHD until I was 26 years old and I graduated high school late, went to college late and flunked a few times and never understood how and why nothing I ever did was never good enough.

This line “Just because somebody doesn’t perform the way you want them to doesn’t mean that you should just give up on them” really spoke to me. 🥺

No one is perfect and that is okay. It took me years to learn that.

How did she actually know?

Don’t get me wrong, I understand why she would have strongly suspected it - her new husband runs into his ex with her by her side, an ex he was involved with shortly before they met, and has been acting weird ever since. That’s not exactly evidence for an affair. Does it point to him still having feelings for her? Absolutely. Does it prove that an affair started shortly after this? Not really.
Also, they had “only” been having an affair for three weeks and met at hotels during lunch and working hours, so I always wondered what tipped Natasha off and how exactly she knew?

Also, I always kinda laugh at Carrie’s: 🤯😳😱 when she finds out that Natasha left Big. Like, “What do you mean, you mean to tell me that Natasha left a man who doesn’t love her and cheated on her with his ex for three weeks and broke her tooth chasing said ex out of her apartment after they hooked up there?!?!” Delusional.

Lip liners that go well with Mac Brave?

I bought Brave back in 2015 when it was "all the rage" and wore it all the time, especially with Soar, a lip liner I still use today. Then I just kinda forgot about Brave in my collection, I bought other lipsticks I preferred and just didn't use it for a loooong time. Eventually, I decided to wear it again for the nostalgia, probably 2021 but when I opened it, it was dry and faded and looked kinda... lilac? I just thought "eww" and tossed it.

A few days ago, I was at MAC and wanted to buy a new lipstick but everything I wanted was sold out and I thought maybe I should buy Brave again. They didn't have a tester for it, it had been stolen the day prior and I decided to buy it without swatching it, since I had it before anyway. Then I used it with Soar and was pleased but feel like it looked different from back then? Like, I remember Brave as pink but this one is way more purple than I recalled. Is it just me?

Anyway, I still like it and want to use it but maybe with lip liners that might make it more pink and maybe more muted.

What do you all recommend? The liner does not have to be from MAC, just whatever goes with Brave.

She was so out of line here

So embarrassing. I get why she was unhappy but this was flat out humiliating, I don’t understand why she would do this. And I am not a Carrie hater, I love her but this scene… just giiiiiirl, nooooo. Even if this had been in the PM, not AM.

Truly unpopular opinions?

Mine are:

- I actually like Tom. I think he's hilarious and I don't get the hate that he gets. Sure, he was insufferable and toxic on many occasions but they all were. He is literally the only husband who is not a convicted felon, not a cheater and never abusive to his wife. And with his faults, he still loves Lynette deeply and always stands by her.

- I did not feel bad for Gaby and Carlos when baby Lily was taken away. Firstly, they declined adopting a perfectly healthy baby because the mother was objectively very ugly. WTF? Secondly, they knew Libby was a lying, trashy person but kept chasing after her baby because she was pretty. Also, Eva's acting in this scene was terrible, which contributed to my meh feeling about it. Carlos' silent defeat was amazing, though, the realization that there is nothing he can do to keep the baby, and even if he could, he would never take a child away from a mother who truly wants it.

- I like Susan and I really don't get the hate she gets. Sure, she was sometimes toxic and insufferable, but again, they all were. She was not that bad of a mother (I feel like the people on this sub have no idea what bad mothers are like) and she wasn't nearly as desperate for a man as the show and this sub makes her out to be. She was single for over a year after Karl left her, she dumped Mike when she found out he was a convicted felon and never told her, she respected Mike's decision to dump her after finding out she lied about Zach, she was very hesitant to date Ian whilst Mike was in a coma, even though the doctors literally told her to move on, she was single for a long time after Mike divorced her and Jackson had to beg her to be her boyfriend and she had no interest in dating after Mike's death.

- I don't hate Gaby that much for calling ICE on Carmen. Yes it was horrible but she also realized it at the last minute and saved Carmen from them. She didn't want to lose another child and acted selfishly but she was also right that Grace WOULD have been better off with her and her family, rather than on the run from ICE with illegal immigrant parents with no money and no resources. I hate that Gaby lost Grace completely.

- I don't think Gaby is nearly as hot as the show makes her out to be. Yes, she is very pretty, but I think she looks cheap. Idk if this is unpopular, though, everyone I know who watches the show irl agrees with me.

- Bree was disgusting for having an affair with Karl, not because Orson didn't deserve it, but because Karl fucked over TWO of her friends. And right before this seedy affair began, she gave Katherine shit for dating Mike. "We are women and we don't do that" - and cheats on Orson with Karl a few episodes later and feels no remorse for it towards Orson, Susan or Edie. Bree also should have accepted some responsibility in how Orson changed. She insisted that he'd go to prison and then was embarrassed for him having gone to prison and acted like he didn't exist when she was publishing a book and establishing a successful company. She really didn't think this whole prison thing through, as we see when she scarfed down a glass of champagne at Orson's farewell brunch.

What are yours?

EDIT: Okay this thread was to supposed to be for fun, where people share unpopular opinions on the show and not debating mine. The post is literally UNPOPULAR opinions, which means that I actually know that most people on here disagree with me.

Am I the only one who finds season 10 unwatchable?

The last episodes of season 9, too. The Rachel and Joey relationship, the Charlie and Ross relationship, Mike having dated Precious for three months while Phoebe was completely hung up on him (he had a picture of Precious on his coffee table... that is pretty serious), Joey turned into a complete dumbass and got a super lame ending - a room above Mondler's garage? Are you kidding me? They should have given him a real ending, with him getting some amazing career breakthrough and a girlfriend. Bringing Kate back would have been 10/10.

Also, just generally terrible storylines. I didn't even like the episode with Christina Applegate and her season 9 episode is one of my faves. Everyone was SUCH an asshole to Ross and Rachel in Emma's birthday episode, Ross being dumped by Charlie for her ex AND DIDN'T EVEN GET THE GRANT WTF WAS THAT, everyone being late for Thanksgiving dinner after emotionally blackmailing Monica into making it, Joey speaking French and the Princess Consuela fiasco - just insufferable.

The atmosphere of the show had changed too, somehow. I usually skip season 10 on rewatches, just can't stand it.

I think Phoebe was jealous of Chandler and Monica's solid relationship

She rooted for Ross and Rachel (he's her lobster), she rooted for them to get back together after Ross slept with the girl from the copy place (which yesterday he took full responsibility for!), she introduced Ross to Bonnie, she rooted for Richard and Monica and even told Richard that he was her favorite of all the guys Monica dated, she rooted for Ross and Emily and tried to stop Rachel from ruining the wedding.... but when Chandler and Monica were dating, she did everything in her power to sabotage their relationship!

- She told Chandler the truth about London (so mean, so rude, so gross)

- She "accidentally" told Chandler that Monica had lunch with Richard

- When she lived with them, she wrote down everything they said and made them miss the movie they wanted to see together (obviously not as bad as the first two but still a pretty malignant thing to do to a couple that just wanted a nice evening together)

- Constantly belittled Chandler

- Repeatedly said Chandler was gay

- Introduced Monica to a man she believed to be Monica's soulmate (in real life, Chandler would have ended his friendship with her over this)

The only nice thing she did was to help Chandler pick out the engagement ring but she also messed that up by not guarding the ring like she was supposed to! I think she was just hella jealous that her two best friends fell in love and had a never-ending, all-consuming, fairytale relationship with a deep bond, great sex (she knew Chandler was the best Monica ever had because Monica told the girls that her secret boyfriend was the best she ever had) and all the magical stuff most people dream of. She constantly tried to sabotage them and was SO MEAN to Chandler. Feels like jealousy because her only marriage was to a gay ice dancer who wasn't actually gay but in love with another girl and her true love left her for Minsk.

Why did no one ever fall in love with her?

Karl didn’t love her, Mike didn’t love her, Carlos didn’t love her and Dave was just using her for his ridiculous revenge. Why did no one love her? She had amazing chemistry with Karl, Carlos and Dave and objectively speaking, they all should have fallen for her. She’s beautiful, sexy, smart, funny and makes good money and obviously fantastic in bed. What’s not to love?

u/ang334 — 1 month ago

I always wondered which three she didn’t love

Tom, obviously. But who were the other two? 😆🫢

u/ang334 — 1 month ago

This is misogynistic and gross

Mid in bed?! Post wall?! Not looksmaxxing?! Go to hell, dude. She is gorgeous and always looks amazing. The recovering alcoholic will disagree with all of this.

I don’t understand how anyone could say that Gaby was in the wrong for cheating on Victor after this

She literally overheard her husband say that he couldn’t wait for their wedding day to be over, admitted that he tricked her into marrying him to use her for political gain and referred to her one of his assets and said that he could manage her. 🤢🤢🤢

Gabrielle wasn’t a gold digger - she wanted money, sure, but she wanted true love, first and foremost. She lost interest in Victor after overhearing this. And I understand that, I could never be attracted to someone who talks about me this way.

u/ang334 — 1 month ago

How did Gaby believe this?! 😩

She really believed that a handsome, multi millionaire who could have pretty much any woman he wanted had rejected 80 million dollars for a woman whom
he had known for three months and had in that time repeatedly embarrassed him in public? Stealing his ex wife’s dresses, jumping into his lap at the election party and harassing a parking ticket guy? And she can’t even cook and is not classy? That’s supposed to be “the best thing that ever happened to him”? Give me a break.

Gaby was pathetically desperate in this storyline.

I thought Rachel looked amazing in this and don’t get why everyone laughed so much at her

She really pulled this off and looked great. Asides from her ass showing during the ceremony that is, that was not very gracious. 😅

u/ang334 — 1 month ago

And he believed that she poisoned him after this 😭

Bree deserved so much better, she loved him so much and sacrificed so much for him. 😩😩😭

What is your favorite intro?

For me it’s an even tie between Ross giving Chandler “the big brother talk” and Joey’s six month prank phone calls to Chandler.

Ross: I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND KICK YOUR ASS.

Chandler: Okay are you my friend again?

Ross: Yes.

Chandler: You won’t believe what Monica’s older brother just said to me.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The prank phone call was diabolical too. It’s even funnier in the unedited version.

Joey: You looked so good in the suit that your roommate picked up for you. 🥹

Chandler: For the love of god, leave me alone!!!

Whay are yours?

Do people think Monica and Chandler did Gunther dirty by not inviting him to the wedding?

I remember thinking it was no biggie but my sister disagreed and Ross was embarrassed when Gunther told him he wasn't invited. Which was hilarious "Then... we'll see you the day after the wedding" LMAO David Schwimmer is so good with combining awkward as hell with comedy. So funny. But how do you feel about this?

I loved that hairstyle and color on her so much!

She was so effortlessly gorgeous and sexy.

u/ang334 — 2 months ago

I hate that she didn’t tell him the truth!!

The man practically broke her vagina and her back whilst fucking her - why the codependency? Just tell him!! Instead she was made out to be using him and humiliated in front of the entire wedding ugh. I hated this so much. The third picture is just because she looked stunning in this scene.
