Looking for 2 girls to share a fully furnished flat.

  • Total Rent: ₹47,000/month
  • Brokerage: ₹47,000 (one-time, payable to the broker)
  • Security Deposit: ₹1,50,000
  • Fully furnished, except for a fridge and washing machine, which can be rented separately.

Room Details:

  • Master Bedroom – Double Occupancy: ₹12,500 per person | ₹40,000 deposit per person
  • Other Bedroom – Single Occupancy: ₹22,000 | ₹70,000 deposit

A total of 3 girls will be staying in the flat. The master bedroom will be shared by two people, while the other bedroom will have single occupancy and a separate washroom.

Other expenses such as maid, gas, Wi-Fi, electricity, etc. will be divided equally among the three.

📍 Location: Just a 2-minute walk from Dahanukarwadi Metro Station, in a good locality and on a higher floor.

2011 Innova in Jharkhand RC renewal is costing me ₹75k. Is there a better way?

I have a 2011 Innova registered in Jharkhand, and the registration has expired.

I’m trying to get it renewed, but I’m being told that the total cost will be around ₹70,000. What’s really frustrating is that the renewal/road tax calculation seems to be based on the original ex-showroom price of the vehicle, rather than what the car is actually worth today.

That honestly feels completely f*cking stupid and incredibly infuriating.

The car is 15 years old at this point and, even if the registration were valid, I don't think it would be worth more than ₹3 lakh in today's market. Yet I'm expected to pay a substantial amount calculated using the price of the car when it was brand new.

For reference, I’ve seen a Jharkhand Transport Department receipt for an older Innova where the total came to around ₹72,799, including roughly ₹59k in MV tax for a 5-year period.

The car itself is in good condition, so I’d prefer to keep it rather than scrap/sell it. But spending ₹70k+ just to get a 15-year-old car legally back on the road feels difficult to justify.

Has anyone in Jharkhand recently gone through RC renewal for a 15-year-old private car?

  • Is ₹70k actually the correct amount?
  • Is there any legal way to reduce the amount?
  • Is there any concession or different calculation for older vehicles?
  • Has anyone managed to do the process themselves through the DTO/Parivahan instead of using an agent?
  • And most importantly, is there any way the tax can be calculated based on the current value of the vehicle rather than its original ex-showroom price?

I'm not looking for a way to avoid paying the tax. I just want to understand whether there's a more reasonable/legal way of dealing with this, because paying ₹70k against a car that's worth around ₹3 lakh seems absolutely insane.

Would especially appreciate experiences from Jharkhand .

Visited Jivdani temple today . My experience and suggestions.

Visited Jivdani Temple today with my family and we took the ropeway to go up. The ticket was 250 per person, and there are three ticket counters, two of which accept cash. So if you're planning to visit, carry some cash the lines at the cash counters were much shorter. The crowd was also pretty manageable and it barely took us half an hour to get darshan.

Overall, the experience was good initially. After darshan we went upstairs where there’s a nice spot to look out at the scenery along with a few smaller temples.

However the area around the viewpoint was honestly quite disappointing. There’s a big hall where they sell things like popcorn and tea, but the entire place was absolutely filthy. There were popcorn packets and plastic wrappers everywhere, even though dustbins were available. People simply didn't bother using them.

The viewpoint itself was also in pretty bad condition. People had tied prasad wrapped in plastic to the mesh, and the whole area looked dirty and poorly maintained. It was honestly a shame because the place has a really nice view and could be much better if people simply stopped littering and the area was maintained properly.

After that, we went back to the ropeway and the ride down was completely fine. Overall, the temple visit itself was a good experience, but the cleanliness and maintenance around the upper area definitely need a lot of improvement.

About today's protest in dadar !

Amazing People ,unmatchable energy and all around it was really nice. the police today was very cooperative and did not use any force at all . people who were were hesitatant about safety I assure you it went really well and this is an example of the power we people have when we come together . I request everyone who can to join the protest on 26th and push this movement till it crushes the people who are silent on this.

Amazon kept my money for 7+ months because they claimed they never received my return... until I sent a legal notice.

I never thought I'd have to fight this hard over a phone case.

In December 2025, I ordered a case for my Samsung S24 Ultra from Amazon. The listing itself looked a bit sketchy, but I decided to take the chance.

Big mistake.

What arrived wasn't even close to what was advertised. I immediately requested a return, which Amazon approved. They instructed me to ship the item back myself, so I did exactly that through India Post on 4 December 2025.

On 9 December 2025, India Post confirmed that the parcel had been delivered to the exact address Amazon had provided.

I thought that would be the end of it.

Instead, it became the start of a 7+ month battle.

Every time I contacted Amazon, I was told the same thing:

I sent them my India Post receipt. I sent them the delivery confirmation message. I explained that the parcel had been delivered months ago.

None of it mattered.

On one of the final calls, I was told they couldn't process my refund because I didn't have enough documents. The representative even said that the India Post receipt I had was "generic" and that I didn't have a physical proof of delivery, so they couldn't verify my claim.

That was honestly the most frustrating part.

How was I supposed to produce a physical delivery slip when Amazon themselves had asked me to ship the parcel through India Post, and India Post had already confirmed the delivery?

To make matters worse, they also wanted the consignment tracking again. By then, several months had passed, and India Post no longer retained the tracking details online. Tracking information isn't stored forever. If Amazon wanted to verify it through the tracking portal, they should have done so when the package was actually delivered not months later.

Fortunately, I had kept two things:

  • The original India Post receipt.
  • The official delivery confirmation SMS.

After months of getting nowhere, I drafted a formal legal notice explaining the entire situation and informed Amazon that if they continued denying the refund despite the evidence, I would file a case before the Consumer Commission.

I attached every piece of evidence I had.

Within 24 hrs after that...

I got a phone call stating they were sorry and my refund was approved.

The money is now in my Amazon Pay wallet.

I'm relieved the issue is finally over, but it never should have taken legal action over a return that had already been delivered.

Lesson learned: Never throw away your shipping receipt. Keep screenshots, SMSs, emails everything. If a company tells you your evidence isn't enough, don't assume that's the end of the road. If you have the facts and the documentation, escalate the matter and stand your ground.
