Been playing for a while and i've started to realise all the op builds are 12 gauge just because more projectiles = waaaay more dmg.

My blackwater which i was building as 50 cal holy fire sucked compared to when i switched to 12 g and added 300% projectiles.

Specifically the klein bauer, i already have it rank 3 and have 2/3 of the ammo reduction oils and a 50bmg chisel.

You can see where im going with this, but i read online that the ammo effect only applies to the first shot of the charged shot? Does this mean no infinite ammo mini mini gun?

Im playing with headshot mode right now and im 25 days in, i started to notice i just never really used any legendary or higher damage guns.

I realized this is because with headshot mode basically all enemies except for bosses and some coyote bosses can be one tapped to the head.

So my entire arsenal ends up just being silenced scoped guns with giant mags like the xm since i just single shot every zombie head.

Is normal mode any different? im starting to feel like if anything normal mode should be harder since headshots are no longer guaranteed one shots?

also can any vets tell me how much the stats on legendary guns matter? i got a phantasm but the damage stat bar is super low is it still worth using?

in that the moment they get close and nip you, they put you in a deathroll and maul you. I guess its more fun because zombies are deadly but it does get annoying that a single bite basically guarantees you die.

The easiest and most effective way is doing the gig council womans frolic by dino.

You have to steal a incriminating recording without being caught and once you have escaped the area you need to save right before collecting the rewards.

The reward for this gig is any sniper in the game and although that sounds like the odds are terrible it would seem the loot table is truly randomized.

After only rerolling/ reloading my save 3 times i managed to get a 5++ ashura with two free mod slots easily and quickly.

At least for me this is way better than farming andrew newman, the space force 1 loot crate or other method.

Edit: Got too excited forgot it was 2026 this works in 2.3

I've farmed andrew newman, the space force 1 loot box and the arasaka estate sniper each for about a day and i have never seen a 5++ drop with 2 empty mod slots.

However for each different farm i see a lot of repeats, for Andrew newman i consistently see a tier 5 with two mod slots drop, for the space force one loot crate i see a tier 4 with two mod slots drop consistently, same with the arasaka sniper.

Im starting to suspect the loot tables arnt actually random but are instead predetermined.

If there are any modders out there i would be really thankful if you ca shed any light on how the loot tables in 2.3 work.

Edit: IT EXISTS, i now know the best way to get it and it took less than 30 mins there is a gig called council womans frolics that dino gives you, the reward for that mission is any sniper in the game, i just got an ashura with two free mod slots after rerolling the rewards for that gig a few times!!!!

I can do it with over heat and the shingen mark v but when i punch an enemy with contagion they dont blow up??? They just fall over and get knocked down?

In all honesty kinda bummed out that i missed some end stuff, did not know talking to the level up lady would basically end the game for me, i never got to use the key ostrava gave me...

And in the same moment found out there is no respec in this game. It takes me 20k to level up...

guess im stuck with 18 levels of magic ill never use as a melee player and not being able to use curse weapon.

Anyone have a way to farm a lot of souls fast so i can just drown my sorrows with more souls.

edit: im a massive idiot, the 18 levels of magic werent i waste, i thought beast talisman needed 18 int and 18 faith and i wanted to use it cracked with the meat cleaver, so i have 16 faith and 18 magic, but the beast talisman needs 18 magic and 18 faith, and if im reading it right i only need to meet one of its stat reqs to use it cracked, so i just need to level int to have enough memory slots to use curse weapon. Thank you to everyone who commented, im of to kill some oversized ocean animals.

i also realized with my 16 faith 18 magic and 18 int (need to farm) setup i can use second chance and curse weapon which will be awesome

I spent a few hours grinding the shields and titanite needed to max them out.

But i have no idea how to build them , i only know i need 50 strength to use them.

Should i infuse them and if so what is good?

Are there buff spells i should have like power within from ds1? I didnt touch spells or miracles In this game so im unfamiliar.

For rings i was thinking royal soldiers , 3rd dragon ring, ring of blades and chloranthy ring. Any other rings that would be good?

Im planning to do ng+ with the shields.
