Opinions on boat size for the sound: 16’ v 19’

Do you think a 16’ boat, with steering column, is a good choice? (see above image).

I bought a 14’ aluminum last year, and it’s way too small for when I want to bring friends. My wife says I should go 20’ just so I don’t keep flipping boats.

I found a good deal for a 16.5’, but I fear she may be right.

Thoughts?

Salmon jigging recommendations

Chasing kings from a kayak; I currently have 0.5-3.5oz pline, puget pounder, etc.

I’ve never jigged deeper than 100’, launching at Elliot bay this weekend but will frequent redondo to pt defiance.

Looking for weight, color, shape, and length recommendations!

Thank you!

I don’t practice, but I like my cursive.

I have done the whole graffiti thing as a teen. Buying pens and practicing calligraphy in my 20s. Now, I’m just a 30-something year old who doesn’t mind a ballpoint or pen.

Anyone add hull guards to these spots?

A lot of my launch spots require dragging my Salty. I’m thinking of fabricating some for the high scratch areas shown above.

I have the Navarre skid plate in the back, and the Berley Pro up front.

If you’ve done it, can I see your setup?

Thanks!

Where can I find an aqualele?

I’ve had a waterman for YEARS adventuring and it just doesn’t sound good.

Stumbled upon an old forum stating aqualele’s sound pretty good, but I can’t seem to find one for sale via google.

Any suggestions for my search? Or other water proof ukes that sound decent?

And fyi, the waterman’s neck seems to have warped.

Anyone want to trade for my conventional okuma cold water (left hand 300 size)? I’m looking to get a low profile cold water

Long story short, I copied my buddy, but I’m finding that I definitely don’t fish deep enough for this AND it’s really bulky for operations in a kayak.

Bonus points if you have a right hand retrieve (I normally go left hand but my downrigger is on my right side.

Purchased in March, exclusively used in salt water, but I rinse her off every time.

Remote mini acting up. Symptoms are as follows:

Used with X4 yesterday.

-remote sporadically connects/disconnects with x4
-remote will not turn off; it even wakes up my x4 when I’m done with my recording session (I’ve resorted to taking the x4 battery out
-13 slow blinks, then 3 fast blinks
-will not maintain connection with phone to update firmware

Do people add smile blade to their salmon rigs?

I don’t see many YouTube or posts about it. Works for Kokanee, why not a chinook?

Has anyone used a Navarre scupper mount with a GT20 transducer on a salty pdl?

I ordered the kit during the off season; I just tried to install it today and the transducer is too long (hits hull).

The transducer is for a striker 4cv, fyi.

Then I watched a YouTube video and learned I also need an adapter to mount the salty lolol.

I’m less concerned about the adapter (I can just buy a longer bolt or something).

But, has anyone figured this out? I have some 1/4” HDPE lying around and am considering just fashioning an offset bracket.

Still waiting for a reply from Navarre for some guidance.

In the meantime, how did you do it? lol

Cricut design space makes text kind of wobbly

Hello all,

I tried googling this, but I couldn't get my search terms dialed.

Anyways, I downloaded some fonts from dafont and used photo shop to make a decal. I sent it through design space and noticed some not so clean linework.

See attached photo. Note left edge of A, and interior corners of the E.

After printing, these imperfections are still noticeable. Any tips?
