Lasting effects of seminars and groups

Yesterday, I was in part of my training for a new job and we had to do a fishbowl exercise. The other two that day weren’t in a circle, so I was able to complete them easier. The last one when we sat down all in a circle and it was my turn to do the training, I couldn’t do it.

I freaked out maybe 30 seconds in and said I couldn’t do it (which made everyone stare at me more) and pushed my chair back fast and walked out, where they informed me that the rest of the training would be similar exercises to this. I’m 34, and it’s not something I’ve had to work on in my personal or professional life - “public speaking” I guess but it’s really mostly certain situations - so I never have.

I’m at a loss and I don’t have anyone to tell or talk to about it so I just thought I’d post it here. Thanks for reading guys.

Edit: my actual job isn’t like that. I do one week there and one week training currently, It’s the nature of the skills clinicals for the training going forward from here. I genuinely don’t know how I’m going to get through them, and what happens if I can’t.

Been playing around with opposite looks lately

It’s crazy how much makeup (and hair) transforms! I’m not new to makeup, but I’m new back to makeup. I tried a more natural look and obviously an alternative look. I don’t have a lot of the good makeup and honestly a lot of this is old, but I’m thinking this is going to be my next hyper focus haha I had fun.

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette Remastered - maneater, coco, rose gold, pink diamond, fling

ColourPop Nightmare Before Christmas Palette - zero, pumpkin patch, dr. finkelstein

Heart percent lip liner in cloudy mauve

YSL loveshine lipstick (I can’t remember the shade I’m sorry)

Wet n’ Wild breakup proof liquid liner

In both:

L’Oréal telescopic mascara

Revlon brow stylist definer in brunette

Anastasia Beverly Hills clear eyebrow gel

Lakerain under eye brightener

Neutrogena hydroboost loose setting powder

The black lipstick was from a Halloween lip kit 🫣

I’m wearing a 13x4 synthetic wig from Amazon (?) in one and a 7x6 human hair wig from Luvme in the other.

Finished my full puff stitch sky blanket!

The drama I went through with this! I frogged from the bottom because I messed up the bottom area so badly. I don’t have a space for tapestry crochet so I had about 20 hours of weaving for color work. But it’s beautiful. 😭

And my tension isn’t any better! The second I started on the border it was its normal tight self haha. Oh well!

Got a wig close to my natural color and actually went inside a store!

So I figured maybe the platinum was too bold for my anxiety around wigs at the moment lol, and got a human hair wig close to my natural color. I wore it this weekend grocery shopping in my small town and I actually went inside this time!

It was a little awkward sneaking a selfie in a grocery store lol, I rarely drink soda but it was the most empty aisle.

CC and styling tips welcome as this is my first human hair wig. ☺️

Needing some real encouragement 😪

Im exactly 73% done with this monster of a blanket. Getting real tired. Every time I want to put it down I just force myself to keep going this is about 3 weeks of work, really trying to finish this before that 1 month point 🙃

First full wig application and going out!

It’s a cheap wig but I didn’t want to ruin lace of anything else. Wigs were a special interest of mine for a while so I got really good at doing bald cap, but I was never confident enough to wear one out. But there was a goth market yesterday so I decided now’s the time!

I got anxiety and didn’t go inside but I thought I did good for my first lace melt on a wig and not on a cap. I’m fortunate to be so pale that wig lace is easier to blend.

[Update] I just turned 34 and I took some of the advice you guys said last year to heart.

Last year’s post. Same poorly applied eyebrow gel though. Just concealer under my eyes and tinted lip balm so I don’t look so tired this time. Been into skincare *heavily* as a hobby since I was in my mid 20s, but of course good skin genetics are at play too.

I got my first “grown up job” with full benefits at almost 34

Best early birthday present. I’ve never really been a stable person so this is big for me. That’s all, thanks for listening!
