anyone have dealt with a s*icidal person before?

i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. i've dealt with someone last year and i was fine at first. i was happy to help him through it.

but after 2 months of being on constant hypervigilance, i noticed something changed in me. i've developed symptoms of (mild) anxiety, but never get it checked.

despite dealing with my own struggle, i was still there for him, physically. we were in high school so i see him every day. but he transferred before graduation. i had mixed feelings when he left, i felt like i failed, sad, and relieved at the same time. i feel bad saying this but at one point i was actually happy.

i don't remember most of it, i've cut him off earlier this year cuz i feel like all the mess jump started anxiety in me, and i can't look at his pictures, name and texts without getting anxious.

he left my life, but the anxiety didn't. i am not blaming him at all cuz i know what it feels like to drown, but at the same time i feel like i am scarred for life. i was a different person during him, and after him.

i just wanna know if anyone else ever deal with this, and what's the aftermath like.

questions for ppl with vestibular migraine/pppd

ppl who have vestibular migraine or pppd, what triggers you spontaneously? i'm sorry for asking this but can anyone share things that triggers you fast? like a specific amount of fluorescent lights or floor patterns, etc.

i've been feeling the symptoms lately (like the ground swaying, floor dropping and like i'm walking on a cloud or always in elevator) and its kind of like a background thing, it's not an episode i think.

it'd be lovely if i get advices on how to deal with this too!

how do you guys take it when someone offers food/snacks?

take it as when you're not like super hungry/already had meals.

when i am offered food, my instinct is to refuse. idk why but i've always been like that, i feel like taking a part of their food is a burden to them, even though they offered it (does that make sense?) plus if i take it i would feel like i owe them.

my friend asked me many times "why do you keep rejecting my food?" haha i feel like it's just a default setting in me.

how about you guys?

istp bottling up emotions

are there any other istps out there who bottles up emotion until they are alone? (eg. at night before sleep) like you remained unbothered by any inconveniences or any flaws that happened during the day, and once you're alone you just let your guard down and cry to yourself at night. and like idk why i am asking this this is too niche but do any of you blast music to build up the emotion haha

anyone else get 5-second vertigo spells or "elevator lag"?

genuinely asking cuz it's starting to weird me out. is it normal to randomly get a super short burst of vertigo that lasts like 5 seconds, and then you're fine but just feel slightly dizzy after? also, sometimes i'll get out of an elevator and feel like my body is still dropping or rocking minutes after i stepped off. anyone else deal with this?

books recommendation

new reader here looking for angsty books about vulnerable teen who struggles with mental health (anxiety/depression etc). preferably accompanied by a listener or platonic/romantic partner. bonus point if the main character is a male.
