Marriage Reasoning
Hello, first time coming across this sub. I searched a bit and didn't see a post where everyone shared why they do not want to marry or how they view marriage. So I wanted to post and ask if anyone has anything to share.
What are some reasons you don't want to marry? I have many reasons but also "because I don't want to" sums it up best lol.
Friendship Question
Has anyone had a friendship for decades that did a complete 180 on kids?
Personal story below, you do not have to read. You can just tell me your story in the comments :)
I've known my longest friend for almost 2 decades, since middle school. She was so die-hard childfree. She use to get pissed off when people would bingo her and tell her she'll change her mind.
She met her current fiance and now they are wanting kids together.
Fine, it's ok to change your mind.
A lot of other stuff changed with her too. She was not religious and would say that she would never date someone religious. She's now religious.
Fine, too. I would have supported her anyways.
She stopped talking to me after she moved, after multiple attempts from me. The conversation wouldn't get further than a few sentences then she wouldn't respond. I attempted maybe 3-5 times over the span of two years after her move. Deleted her off of everything a few months ago.
We can't protect ourselves from losing friends. I would have lost her eventually because she definitely wouldn't reply once she started having kids lol.
Hello. I had robotic laproscopic hysto with ovaries preservation earlier. I've never had this much trouble with surgery before lol. The immediate urge to lay down and I've never moaned in distress before even after my last major surgery 😂 This hits different. I keep waking every 30 mins to an hour to pee since I was instructed to have Gatorade and water 2 hours prior to surgery. And fluids during surgery. Fatigue and vomiting are pretty bad. But I held down half a banana with pain meds. I don't feel loopy like I thought I would. That's a good thing
Here's to a future with no more pap smears (likely but some doctors may want one when older apparently) and definitely no more periods.
I don't want to discourage anyone but I just want you to be aware that this is a major internal surgery and to be prepared and follow surgeon orders closely :)
