Is it TOO nerdy to pop into an Omega store near my office wearing this?

Is it TOO nerdy to pop into an Omega store near my office wearing this?

I just started a new role in London near covent garden and, was very excited (the nerdy bit) to see I am very close to an Omega showroom. I kind of wanted to walk around and enjoy the experience but,

  1. Is that ok to do? I just want to take a look today, not actually buy anything. And

  2. I wore my vintage blue geneve today. Is that TOO nerdy to wear nonchalantly?

Haha. I am probably overthinking this heh.

Feeling Lunar today

Love this watch. So much history, so much fun, now I have it on a curved end rubber strap, I think it looks so good (the rather chunky bracelet it came with just isn't my style at all!)

Hmmm... are you a bracelet or strap kinda vintage Omega person ?

It's an age old question. For some watches, it just seems natural to keep on a bracelet and for others, a leather or ever rubber strap just feels right.

For my vintage Omega Geneve... I just don't know which is better for the 'default' look. I think the strap but, what would you pick?

I'm so glad I found this page! 'Affordable' is a CRAZY concept on social media!

So, I started collecting just recently and was so pleased to (finally) fill my 8 watch box after LOT'S of admittedly fun trial and error.

And, as I researched and built my collection, TikTok and other social media algorithms POUNCED on me with various influencers telling me how affordable = a Tudor Black Bay, Rolex and Omega Sea/SpeedMaster... every.darn.time.

I got sick of it (and every recommendation being identical), and so I set out to build an affordable collection of watches that I really liked, that were a mix of styles, and a mix of vintage and modern.

I think it's a pretty good set. I like it a lot and, I hope you do too!

Just added this absolute beauty of a Geneve to complete my box for the first time!

Hi. I started collecting last year and have set out to try and build something that is fun, interesting and fits my life as a dad, office worker and person who likes to travel in different cities.

It's a mix of vintage and more modern and, Im really happy with it (I think!). This weekend I finished the set with two watches I have wanted for some time. The Longines Evidenza andthe new love of my life, this 1972 Omega Geneve Automatic. It has a aftermarket leather strap but, I impulse-bought a vintage omega bracelet too to just see how it would look. I can't help myself!

Finally filled my watch box and wanted to share with strangers and citizens of the internet!

So, I started collecting last year and obviously am now hopelessly scrolling eBay, Vinted and online sale and watch-news sites CoNsTaNtLy. Haha

Today, I got the Longines Evidenza (I wanted this watch from pretty much day one) in the mail and... I 'think' I am now very happy with my collection. It's a good mix of styles, colours and modern Vs vintage... I am particularly in love with the citizen 'monaco" flyback. It's PERFECT!

. What do you guys think?

Here is a list of the watches i have.
