Not sure if this would be beadwork or wirecraft, but I made a bracelet!

Yes, it's meant to sit a little slanted. I used 12 gauge aluminium wire for the core, 28 gauge copper wire for the wrapping, and czech beads.

Recs where the top does crazy red/black flag things but the bottom is just fine with it?

I'm thinking like the top kidnaps the bottom or turns out to be a killer or something and the bottom is just "huh, nice house you got there". I don't mean a bottom who goes along with it out of fear, I mean a bottom who's literally okay with it. Like zero survival instincts sort of stuff.

New Ham here, any cool/useful equipment recommendations that won't overwhelm me?

I've just passed my Technician test, and I'm planning to get General and Amateur Extra as soon as I can. I feel like a lot of equipment recommendations are like "here, nail this onto your roof and connect it to your airplane for easy transmission". Is there anything you can recommend that's somewhere in the middle? I'm interested in the circuitry/electronics part of radio, if that's relevant, and I can do a bit of coding, but I'm not *that* good at it. I'm pretty good at following directions if they exist. I have been interested in the Baofeng UV-21R before, but now I'm not so sure. I'd prefer something handheld, but it doesn't have to be. Thank you!

What if I just have zero awards? What do I do?

(this is NOT A CHANCEME, I'm seeking ADVICE and don't want chancing)

I'm a rising junior planning to apply for T20s(domestic). I'd say my GPA, SAT, AP scores, etc. are definitely good enough to try applying(4.0/4.57, 1590, all 5s), but obviously I can't be admitted for just scores alone. The problem is that my ECs are pretty weak(just club stuff, a little bit of volunteering, and a hobby), and, as the title says, I have no awards at all. I don't think I'l be able to get any major awards before applications, so when I apply I'm likely to just have the participation trophy awards "everybody" in the general caliber has(like AP scholar, NMSQT finalist).

What should I do? Should I just ditch awards altogether and focus more on my ECs? Should I try to actually get an award or two? I'm honestly lost, I'm an only child and my parents went to college outside the US so I didn't realize you actually needed more than just scores until like a year ago. I've failed the AMC 10 twice now(competition math is not my strong suit), and I'm going to try the AMC 12 this year, but I don't expect to qualify for AIME. I'm also studying for the F=MA exam at my parents' request, but, again, I don't expect to make the cutoff.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

*How much* anatomy do I need to learn?

I'm currently a writer trying to branch out into visual arts. I've entertained the idea for quite a while, but I've been serious about it(as in actually drawing instead of thinking about drawing) for approximately two months. Everyone says to study anatomy, but I honestly don't quite understand what that means. How much anatomy? What kind of anatomy? Do I just look at a bunch of pictures of people? Do I take a biomed-pathway human anatomy class? I could, but I don't know if that's what I'm supposed to do. I technically have learned the basics of perspective(though I'm not good at it yet and need to practice), but I couldn't name a single bone on a chart.

I've been winging it this whole time, but I'm tired of drawing dubiously 3/4 angle faces in blank voids and I'm downright sick of them not turning out right. My drawings and drawing skill are also very inconsistent as of now, and I know that's at least partially because I don't have a lick of an inkling what a human is actually supposed to look like.

The only "anatomy" "practice" I've been doing is fudanshing out and reading men of questionable morals and even more questionable shoulder widths beat each other up. I know I shouldn't learn proportions from the genre that gave us yaoi hands, so I've kind of hit a wall here. I'm still aiming for a somewhat manhwa-ish style with Western influence(black and white or flat-color with very little rendering), but I want it to be a little bit realistic, if you know what I mean, so I know I need to at least learn some construction. Attached is a picture of my current drawing, and this is the level of realism I'm going for, just a little bit of it to spice things up. (I'm not looking for art crit on this specific drawing, though I'm sure there's plenty of crit to do. It's just a reference as to what I'm talking about. )

Basically, I want to know how in-depth I need to be about learning anatomy. I want to know whether I can get away with knowing the basic shapes or if I need to start memorizing the names of all the little muscles and bones and such.

Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know other BLs with a character like this?

What I mean by "a character like this" is a large, dumb man who's a little bit(or a lot) silly, has an attitude, and is surprisingly good at what he does(which is killing people). The character doesn't have to be mafia, but it is preferred. Formalwear(suits, etc) is also preferred. MC, ML, antagonist, side character with decent screentime, green flag, black flag, whatever. I'm desperate at this point. It's okay if they don't meet every single point, but silly is required. I'm aware this is a very specific type, but I'm hoping there are more than two of them. Thank you!

Sources: [1-4: Bullet Time, his name is Seven, he's the ML] [5-8: Roses and Champagne, his name is Dmitri(or Dimitri, or Dimitry), he's a side character]

(Side note, I highly recommend Bullet Time. MC is hot too and holds a lot of power over ML, and the story's pretty good. Warning for non-con, but not between the main characters. It's probably a greenish-yellowish flag between those two. Also the side couple(black flag) is top-tier.)

{Edit: I want to clarify now that I don't just mean a himbo. I mean a himbo who's a bit of an asshole who can and has killed people on the regular.}

Tell an "INTJ" if he's been mistyped?

I'm a student, and I've taken the MBTI test quite a few times for class activities. I've consistently gotten INTJ over the years, but I hear it's really common to be mistyped as such, and I was wondering if I'm one of those mistyped people. I also worry about whether my personal biases have affected my test results (I admit it, I think INTJ is cool, I haven't intentionally spoofed any tests but I'm human and I may have subconsciously picked "INTJ"-like answers)

I'm (again) a student currently, but I'm headed for computer science/computer science-adjacent fields. I like it more than I like other career paths, as the workstyle seems to fit me. If money wasn't a problem, I'd probably still do it.

I was brought up in a tech-centered East Asian immigrant family, with all the stereotypes you might think. My significant negative experience was transphobia and homophobia (biphobia) from my family forcing me to stay in the closet for quite a while, and I do think it affected my behavior, because I notice I'm often "hiding" even when I don't have to and quite absorbed in my inner world. Sometimes, I battle with my thoughts.

I don't officially have any mental health issues, but I have chronic fatigue (as an actual medical condition), which makes me stay inside as much as I can and spend much of my time resting.

If I had to spend an entire weekend by myself, I'd be quite happy, actually. I have many things I enjoy doing on my own, and I don't like it when others interfere.

I enjoy rock climbing (sometimes) and hiking (also sometimes), but most of the time I tend to engage in sit-down activities like writing, coding, or drawing. I don't enjoy most sports.

I'm a very curious person, and I very often have ideas I can't execute. I'm curious about anything and everything (and often find myself in Wikipedia rabbitholes). My ideas can be about stories, art pieces, programs, basically anything I do in my daily life.

I don't enjoy leadership positions, but I often find myself taking them anyway (for example, in group projects I'm usually the leader), because it's often the only way things will get done. I'd say I'm fairly good at it, considering we have good outcomes. Usually, when I lead, I delegate tasks but do more work than my teammates, because I'd feel scummy if I delegated them to do more.

I enjoy hands-on activities sometimes, but not always. I don't like it when things get messy.

I'm artistic in theory, but (partially because of aforementioned chronic fatigue) I don't actually get that much done. Most of my art is writing; nonfiction, fiction, journalism, or poetry. I enjoy music, but I don't make it.

I think the past is something you don't dwell on, and the future is something you can only change in the present. I don't like to think about it too much, because it scares me if I do.

When others ask me for help, I usually say yes. They usually only ask me for help on academic things, and (I don't mean to brag, but) I can usually fix their problems fairly quickly, so it's not much effort from me and it makes them like me more.

Logical consistency is absolutely necessary in my life, but I feel like that's a given.

I like things to be very efficient. I often do less work than my peers for the same results, which is why I can still keep up while being asleep much of the time.

I wouldn't say I "control" others, as that's a rather harsh description, but sometimes I feel like I'm maintaining my friendships like you would a relationship in a Sims game or a Tamagotchi pet. I make myself reach out to my friends every few days so they don't forget about me, but I'm doing it solely to maintain the friendship and don't actually enjoy interacting with them that much.

I admit I feel quite disconnected from the people around me, not in an "I'm better than them" way but in a "they're better than me" way. I'm a fairly insecure person and often doubt myself (can you tell? haha but like actually). I'm horribly afraid of being a poser/larper (again, can you tell?) and often consider myself an outsider even if I'm literally in the heart of something.

My dream learning environment is just an SAT test. I thrive in silent testing environments and don't get any testing anxiety, but I can't handle a very loud or cluttered classroom. I have sound sensitivity and light sensitivity, so I'm basically custom-built to avoid crowds and crowded places.

I'm fairly good at strategizing. I usually divide projects up into chunks, then wing the chunks themelves.

The most important thing to me is myself, but I suppose that's a rather nothingburger statement.

My aspirations are to get a job and be a yuppie. It sounds horribly dull, but I enjoy dull things.

My fears are failing, whether that be in life or at a certain task. It makes me uncomfortable when I don't do as well as I'd expected.

Highs in my life are when I succeed, and lows are when I fail. I feel like this is fairly self-explanatory as well.

I daydream very often, and I'm often told I don't pay much attention to my surroundings. I couldn't tell you what I had for dinner last night or lunch today, but I could tell you exactly what I answered on a test last week.

In a blank room, I'd probably panic from not knowing when I'd get out. If I was calm, I'd probably pass the time by thinking up another short story or article to write.

I take a fairly normal amount of time to make decisions I consider important, but sometimes I make "normal" decisions quickly and later find out that they were important. I don't usually change my mind, as I'm very good at gaslighting myself into thinking I like what I've done.

I don't like to process my emotions, but when I do, I get over them fairly quickly. I'd say they're more important to my life than I'd like them to be, but still not that important.

I don't like to appease others to keep the peace, but sometimes I still do. More often I politely excuse myself from the conversation.

I don't break rules often, and in fact I've been quite a goody-two-shoes. Still, I believe that, in theory, authority should be challenged often and harshly in order to keep their power in check. I'm just not interested in risking myself to do that.

In my opinion, an ideal life is going to a decent school, working a decent job, retiring early, and dying slightly early before any age-related ailments can come your way. Pretty basic.

When it comes to typing, I'm absolutely certain that I'm an IXXX type, as social interaction drains me a great amount, I prefer to be alone, and I find myself perfectly fulfilled when I do things by myself. I keep friends because it's convenient and I can get lonely sometimes, but most of the time I don't enjoy being with them (they're great people, I wish them the best, I just don't like being with them). I don't want a romantic partner either, although I'm not aromantic, just not interested. It's mostly everything else that I'm not sure about.

When I talk to my friends about MBTI (it's come up once or twice randomly), they act like it's incredibly obvious what I am, but I have a feeling they just say that because I'm a stereotypical East Asian nerd.

I've taken the enneagram like once for reference (psych class required it), I got a 5 (the site didn't have wings or something) but I haven't researched anything about what it means. To be fair I also haven't researched much about MBTI, hence why I'm unsure.

tl;dr: nerdy mcacademiaface with a penchant for writing/poetry and a STEM skillset asks if INTJ is a stereotype or if he's actually just like that. Even if you think I am, maybe still suggest things I could be so I can research them?

How to make sure a 3D-modeled "helmet" fits on my head?

I'm trying to make my first "fursuit"(keratin-suit? Umm), and as the "fur"sona I have is a bug, I was planning to make the hard-shell head by 3D modeling and printing a helmet/facecover. I have experience modeling and printing, so that's not a problem, but I don't quite know how to make sure the dimensions fit my head. I'd rather not have to re-print this rather large helmet multiple times for sizing, but I also want it to be comfortable so I can wear it for extended periods of time. Thank you in advance!

What's with people calling BL characters by female pronouns?

Genuine question, I've seen people refer to male BL characters with she/her pronouns while still acknowledging that they're men. It seems more common with non-English speakers(though I'm not absolutely sure), so I'm wondering if it's like a translation error? But they'll post a picture of a very masculine-looking male character and the caption will be something like "i love her so much, she's so handsome" or a picture of the two(male) characters hugging and the caption will be "she loves him so much." It's not just the bottoms, either, sometimes they call the tops "she". Is it just homophobia, or is there another reason?

I know it doesn't officially support linux, but I've heard it's still okay to run linux on it(except for some minor issues that I'm okay with). Then, would it be possible to dual boot with linux on a Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360? I haven't bought it yet, but I'm looking for a newer Samsung laptop that supports the S pen, so I don't have that much choice. I've done external dual-booting with mint cinnamon linux on the Galaxy Book 4(pro? Unsure) and linux-only(Ubuntu) on a PC, but I haven't done anything that serious. Thank you in advance!
