The benches have cleared in Chicago. Sam Antonacci stuck out his elbow while sliding into second base, which Brandon Lowe took offense to. At the end Lowe asks him “What the fuck is the matter with you?
"No longer like this/Just like this from now on. 3 year old boy, deaf, crippled, completely idiotic, cross-eyed, can barely see. Costs the city of Berlin 8 marks daily. A family of five with an unemployed breadwinner receives ~24 marks a week in support and still has to pay the rent out of it." 1933

The Nevada-Montana conundrum
Nevada football coach Jeff Choate on playing Montana State and not Montana this week: "This is not personal. This was a scheduling decision that that was made based the teams that have an available date on September 12, 2026, that can play in Mackay Stadium. That list is not very long."
“You can print this, and if they deny it, they're lying: I wanted to play Montana. That's who I wanted to play for obvious reasons. They said they weren't interested."
"This had nothing to do with, hey, I want to play the Bobcats."
However, Kent Haslem had receipts. He leaked an email between himself and the associate athletic Director at Nevada, Matthew Smith
The original email from Smith goes
“I hope this email finds you well. I recently had a meeting with our new head coach, Jeff Choate, and was able to get a good idea of what he was looking for. We would love the opportunity to host Montana during the 2027 season and wanted to start the conversation to see if you would be interested in scheduling the Wolfpack. As it stands right now in 2027 we have an opening on 9/4. If you think there may be an appetite for this game, I would be happy to discuss further.”
To which Haslem replied:
“Thanks for reaching out. We would definitely be interested. Right now we are talking to another FCS school about a home and home in 26/27. 27 would be the year we go on the road so that wouldn’t work. We could look further out of that is something that works for you guys. 9/1/29 works. Any year after that is open too.”
“I do want to give a heads up that because of our home draw, the minimum we would need to substitute a home game for a money game is 650k. (we would have to project out and come up with that amount if we are looking into 29, 30, 31). I want to make sure if that’s a dealbreaker we don’t spin any wheels.”
As far as we know, that was the last communication between the two. Haslem posted this email after Choate’s comments, saying “Not interested, Never heard back…”
