hip dips over 3 months

For reference: 20F, 5’3”, 112 lbs.
First photo is March 2026, second (and third on the next slide) is from June 2026, so about 3 months apart.

I’ve gained around 4 kg / 8lbs during that time. I also started the Pill around March, if influences anything to do with weight gain.

I’ve been training lower body (hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, single-leg RDLs, side-lying leg raises and clamshells) and eating more.

However, I don’t think the workouts actually helped much with the hip dips :(
I honestly am thinking most of the change is just regular fat gain rather than muscle growth, because I’ve noticed more fullness around my midsection and flanks as well (no need to point it out please I can see it), not just my lower body. Genetically, the women in my family store also fat in all these areas too (hips, thighs, lower belly etc). I’m actually feeling disappointed and upset with myself.

and as a side question- what is my glute shape?

3 month lower body progress. (kinda)

Reason I said “kinda” is because I don't think it's much muscle honestly :(

For reference: 20F, 5’3”, 112 lbs.
First photo is March 2026, second is June 2026, so about 3 months apart. I’ve gained around 4 kg / 8lbs during that time. I also started the pill around March, if that's important info.
I’ve been training lower body (hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, single-leg RDLs, side-lying leg raises and clamshells) and eating a LOT more (i was underweight)
However, I honestly am PRETTY sure most of the change is just regular fat gain rather than muscle growth, because I’ve noticed more fullness around my midsection and flanks as well, not just my lower body… pretty bummed and disappointed because of this. Genetically, the women in my family store fat in all these areas too (hips, thighs, lower belly etc)

but just wanted to share my progress

weird racist moment

(repost bc i forgot to add the dinner- fried rice)

so i had been texting and chatting with this guy on Instagram for weeks. He initially DMed me abt my photos (I usually hide my face in them) and saying how attractive he found me, complimenting me etc. He was prettyyy into it. And he was actually really lovely/nice and looked cute, and I was starting to like him more and more as we kept talking over the weeks.

eventually he asked to see what i actually look like, which i was gonna be totally fine with showing. And out of curiosity he also asked about my ethnicity, so I told him to guess. He guessed a couple east and southeast asian backgrounds (idk how cuz I’m brown af lmao, but i understand some SE Asians can be tan). And so I replied, “I’m actually South Asian, sorry for not being the other kind of Asian lol,” (assuming that’s what he was hoping for bc of his guesses.)

He then responded: “Don’t be sorry. did u assume i was into Asians? You seem way hotter than the other kind of asian.
Your body is way better than any flat asian girl I’ve ever seen.”

That immediately put me off so bad and I ghosted him. Why TF would you put down an entire group of women as a “compliment”? Why would i ever see that as a good thing, esp as a poc? Esp as a woman of colour ???

I understand some people might think im overreacting since this was just online and not irl but yeah… it reallyyyyy got me pissed off… disgusting

Leggings help pls

(20F, 5’3) Hi, does anyone know any good leggings that can compress or flatten the upper thigh area? I’ve had no luck so far and wonder if there’s anything that can help flatter my shape.

For some reason, even though I haven’t gained weight this year I suddenly started to carry more size in my upper thighs compared to my lower legs. It’s not a big deal I but think it looks a bit funny since the lower part is narrow, so does anyone have any recommendations for leggings that can smooth things out? Thank you

help me grow my legs

(20F) I’m trying to improve the overall balance of my lower body and would love some advice, I do workout already but don’t focus on growing my legs much and want some help bc im not super versed in this stuff

For some reason, even though I haven’t gained weight this year I suddenly started to carry more size in my upper thighs compared to my lower legs, so there’s a bit of a taper from the thigh down to the calf.

I’d like my legs to look a bit more even and smooth overall. I know can’t spot reduce fat so I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on what muscles I should focus on growing to get a bit more balance? so the lower part of my legs doesn’t look so small in comparison

Any recommended exercises I should prioritize? thank you!

▲ 4 r/jeans

Are there any jeans that don’t cause this bunching around the backs of the thighs?

You can see it more from behind than from the side. But I was wondering (although I doubt it) if there are any fitted jeans that don’t have this creasing at the back.

Can I lipo this area on my back

Hi, does anyone know if this specific fold/roll can be reduced via lipo? I’m already slim overall (5’3 110lbs) and I’m wondering what this area counts as (flanks? back?) and whether I can make it smooth. Yes I do workout already, this is a stubborn area for me.

Slimming down back

Hi, please any tips on getting rid of this back fat? I’m 5’3 110lbs, I do cardio and strength training, but it won’t seem to budge. Is this a matter of just having to lose overall body fat or is there certain exercises that help?

I would love to slim down my back but I’m not sure how to approach this area. Not sure if other women have this problem too, but I have that roll/fold even when standing straight.

How can I round my glutes more?

I feel like my glutes look more 'pointy' from the side instead of that rounded, spherical shape you see on a lot of gym girls. Idk how to describe it, but is that just down to my natural bone structure/genetics, or are there specific exercises I can do to round it out more?

And as a side question - is there a way to tell whether my glutes are made up more from fat or muscle? I can’t tell if I had actual gains or whether growth is just because of fat storage.

Posture improvements

(5’2)

I’ve had anterior pelvic tilt since I was a pre-teen (now im 20) and I’ve been doing some core work (to name a few - posterior tilt planks, deadbugs, glute bridges, some hip flexor stretches, etc) for around 6 months to help improve it. This is before and after.

Still working on fully improving my posture but this is the change for now! I hope it will keep improving somehow
