Shoutout to SwitchBot's customer service, actually impressed me

I am usually not one to post stuff like this but figured they earned it. Had an interaction with SwitchBot support recently and they genuinely knocked it out of the park. They followed up after I gave some feedback, asked a couple quick questions, verified my account, and even threw in a small thank you gift just for taking the time to respond. No hoops to jump through, kept me in the loop the whole way.

Honestly it's rare to see a company that actually cares about feedback instead of just farming reviews and ghosting you after.

I've been slowly building out my smart home setup and SwitchBot has become one of my go to brands at this point. Their stuff just works, and this whole support experience sealed the deal for me.

If anyone from SwitchBot happens to see this. Thank you, seriously. Good customer service isn't that common anymore.

Anyone else had solid experiences with their smart home gear/support? Curious what everyone's running these days.

Anyone switch from an iPhone SE 3rd gen to a Galaxy A16 5g?

Hey everyone! I’ve been using an iPhone SE 3rd gen as my daily driver but I’m seriously considering making the jump to a Galaxy A16 5G (4gb/128gb).

Ive been with apple for 4 years but my first ever phone was a Galaxy S7 and honestly I’ve never stopped missing Samsung’s software. One UI just felt so intuitive to me and I’ve been wanting to come back ever since. My budget is honestly really tight right now so the A16 5g (4gb/128gb) seems like the most realistic option for me.

For anyone who’s made a similar switch going from a smaller iPhone to a budget Samsung, how did you find the transition? Is One UI still as good as I remember? Anything else I should know about coming from iOS? Would really appreciate any input from people who’ve been here!!

REQ,$200 CAD, Edmonton, Alberta, Repay $230 CAD on Friday 06/2026, Interac e-Transfer, Gas and Groceries

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to borrow $200 CAD to cover groceries and gas until Friday. I can repay $230 CAD on Friday, June 5, 2026. I’ve hit a short term cash flow gap and just need enough to get through the week.

I can provide any verification required by the subreddit rules. Interac e-Transfer only for both funding and repayment.

Thank you for your consideration.

How long does “Additional Info Needed” (Step 2 of 4) actually take after ID verification?

My partner ordered a new plan online and it got stuck on Step 2 of 4. “More information is required to complete your order.” Called the number on the page (1-866-488-2709) and they said they needed ID verification. He did it over the phone with them right then, no issues.
Called back after and they said to just wait. That was over 10 hours ago and it’s still sitting on the exact same screen.
Has anyone else been through this? How long did it actually take to clear for you? Starting to wonder if something is stuck on their end because “just wait” doesn’t feel very reassuring at this point.

🌿 New addition alert. AeroGarden number 15… and my FIRST ever Bounty! 🌿

I picked up this beauty from Facebook Marketplace for just $30 CAD, and it was basically brand new. It seriously looked like it had only been used once. I’ve wanted a Bounty for a long time, so finding one at that price point felt unreal.

And as a bonus it even came with the Bounty trellis.

As you can see in photo 2, I wasted no time putting it to use. Naturally, it’s already full of hoyas. The 9-pod layout gives so much more space to work with, and that 45W light is an absolute beast.

Marketplace continues to prove that some people truly have no idea what they’re selling… and I’m not complaining 😂

AeroGarden number 15 is officially home.

Just wanted to share a positive KOHO support experience for once

I just wanted to share a positive KOHO experience since you usually only see people posting when things go wrong. Had my account locked, and when it got reopened it was a bit broken. I couldn’t sign up for any plans or get my interest rate sorted. It is worth mentioning I could still access my money the whole time, it was just the extra features that were down. Took a few days of their support team working on it in the background, which wasn’t ideal, but they stuck with it and got everything fully resolved. Not the fastest process, but they didn’t drop the ball and I really appreciate that. Anyway, just wanted to throw a positive one out there for once ◡̈

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience because I’m honestly devastated.
Years ago my KOHO account was locked due to fraud. I was the victim, not the one who did anything wrong. When I tried to come back to KOHO recently I created a new account not realizing that wasn’t allowed.
When I found out, I immediately contacted support and was completely upfront about the whole situation. I explained the fraud history, that I had created a second account, and asked them to help me sort it out properly. I was nothing but polite and transparent throughout the entire conversation.
They locked my new account while they “looked into it,” which cancelled my Interac autodeposit, and then this morning I got an email saying my account has been permanently closed with no explanation given “for security reasons.”
I did everything right. I was honest. And I got punished for it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any recourse? I really loved KOHO and just wanted to come back as a customer.
