Doms who don't dom your primary: Do you exist?

a recurring frustration i've noticed come up in this sub is

> my primary partner engages in domination/submission/rope/etc with a secondary partner, but i want that dom/sub/kink dynamic with them too. why won't they do it with me?

the version i see most often is: cis men whose female primary partner engages in a submissive dynamic to a secondary - a role that they do not engage in with their primary partner. (e.g. Bob is married to Alice, and Alice subs to Chuck. Bob is hurt/confused/jealous that Alice doesn't want that dynamic with them)

i'm super curious about the counterpart to this.

are there people here who can access dom/top/kink energy & roles with secondary partners, but not with a primary partner who actively wants that dynamic with them? if so, what's different for you?

is it about relationship history, pressure, erotic charge, fear of harm, relationship roles, enm/distance, or something else entirely?

and usually i say no to “contemporary classics” rereleases but ive reaaaally wanted to see the unbearable lightness of being for a while so i gave it a pass
