I remember all the snacks and dishes that my mom and other family her age used to cook. As time passed by, personal food preferences changed, they all got old and I live in a different country now. I sometimes miss all the food that I used to have as a kid, and feel bad about forgetting about all of them eventually, because the older generation will all pass away at some point and nobody now can replicate those recipes no matter what. It’s a weird feeling about losing something that can never be seen or tasted again, but only remembered. Any of you feel the same about something?

What are your thoughts on this?

Because as we get closer to knowing we will get it, the excitement fades away and we start thinking about the next “big” thing.
