Estimating value of furniture and stuff inside the house

I just used Chatgpt to help figure it out but curious how others have done it to see how close I am. Thanks!

Looking for a place like a cafe or something to hang and catch up with an old friend.

The title probably sounds goofy but I'm looking for a place around Downriver or just out that would be a good place for two old friends to hang out and talk and catch up for a while but not a bar atmosphere. Something indoors. Thanks in advance!

Tell me how it was living with your soon to be ex through the divorce.

My wife wanted us to take turns living out of the house every week. I did it for a month so she could "clear her head" but all that did was prolong this nonsense. I told her I was done after the month and my lawyer just told me not to as well. She still says every other week she's going to her parents to stay, which is great for me. But for the weeks we're in the same house with the kids I'm just planning on staying busy as much as possible. How did it go for those of you that have stayed through the divorce?

Put the retainer down yesterday and got all the paperwork notarized and to the lawyer today...

Put the retainer down yesterday and got all the paperwork notarized and to the lawyer today. Wife got to a lawyer a couple days before me but I think mine might get it filed first. We shall see. 🤞🏻 I'm hoping mine goes easy. I think the only thing well dispute is my retirement and her pension. She wanted to save money and only use one lawyer but she's made comments about going after half of my old retirement but leaving the retirement where I'm currently employed (9 years) alone. However, for some reason thinks because of that I shouldn't touch her 20+ year retirement. That and that alone is the only reason I got a lawyer. That's worth so much more to me than lawyer fees and something worth fighting for.

Anyone rocking a 3 bike trunk mount rack?

I have a Saris Bones 3 but have only used it on my old Camry and only for taking one bike to and from a shop a mile away. Looking to haul 3 bikes on vacation in a 2025 Corolla Hybrid Sedan about 600 miles round trip.

Renting three bikes for three days

I'm totally against renting bikes because of the cost but I don't think I'm going to be able to take ours up there this year. Who would be the cheapest for renting three bikes for three days? Thanks as always.

Finally going to pull the trigger.

We've been separated for three weeks. Each taking turns living elsewhere for a week at a time while the kids stay at home. I, for some reason, agreed to that but only for a month. She's living away this week. I asked her today what her plan was. Are we going to try and work it out or no and she said no. So I'm meeting with my lawyer this week and then seeing what the next move is to file. Anxiety is higher than a mofo right now but we'll see. I really want to buy her out of the house and not sell and split but I also don't want to be flat broke after doing it so we'll have to see what all she gets from me with alimony and child support. 🤞🏻

47M looking for people to talk to

Will soon be going through a divorce with two teenagers. I'm from Michigan and just looking to chat with people and keep my mind occupied when I have down time. I enjoy oil painting and shooting pool and like good conversations. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have. I'm an open book, whether that's good or bad I'm not sure. 😂

How many of you bought your wife out of the house?

Not sure if it's the same everywhere but here we have to pay the spouse 1/2 the equity. Unfortunately for me we bought at a really good time and now have a crap load of equity.

Part of me wants to buy her out and keep the house. It's a nice ranch on a double lot with a basement and the basement is basically my pool room and art studio. However, I'm cheap and have been thinking about just selling the house and splitting the profit and buying a mobile home in a nice park and actually having money to bank for retirement since I'm sure I'll lose half of it.

Just curious what you have all done.

Looking for a new simple card.

I currently use a Hilton Honors AX but I don't travel a lot, maybe twice per year and one definitely doesn't have any Hilton brand hotels. And their points seem like it takes a whole lot of points just for a couple nights at a mediocre Hampton Inn.

I'm looking for a simple card. I don't want to think about categories and all of that jazz. Right now I'm looking at the following but looking for other suggestions. I want no annual fee.

Local credit union Visa. 3% on gas, 2% on groceries and 1.5% everything else.

Citi Double Cash

Wells Fargo Active Cash

I was looking at the OnePay from Walmart since I do all my grocery shopping there but I keep reading bad reviews on the custom service from Synchrony.

Thanks in advance!

What ways have you all found to deal with only seeing your kids part time?

Ive said this for years that if we ever got divorced that only seeing my kids part time is going to be by far the worse. And honestly probably the reasoned the marriage has lasted as long as it has. I can't stand it when the kids are going for a night let alone a week at a time.

Anyone notice huge mental swings and mental issues with wife on GLP-1?

I've been married 20 years and have two teenagers. Hasn't been the best marriage. Basically two roomies raising kids for years and years. We're telling the kids tomorrow but they already know what's going on. They won't be shocked and my oldest has told me a few times in the last few months that she wished I'd get a divorce. I'm not shocked but a little disappointed the wife won't even try to work anything out. But it is what it is. I'm not here looking for sympathy I was just curious if anyone has noticed a huge change with your wife when they went on glp-1s. My youngest actually mentioned it to me because the wife has been treating the kids like crap on and off again so they're looking for answers too. I googled it and see that it can be a side effect where it makes the person, especially females, depressed, have high anxiety and have suicidal thoughts. Which is everything I've seen in the last few months. Anyone else seeing this with their spouse or ex?

Anyone have luck with local meet up apps?

I feel like I have a lot of friends but not many I hangout with. Looking for a way to meet new people with similar interests around Downriver. I've tried a few apps like meetup, Timeleft, Bumble For Friends(had issues with the app so deleted it). Most of the stuff I'm finding is in Detroit but looking for something more local. Thanks as always.

Photos showing a large photo on top and not the last taken.

It's always shown me my last taken photo first but not it's got a larger random photo I took days ago. And when I delete it it shows another random. Did I mess up a setting or is this new? Thanks
