15 years after my first encounter with thyroid cancer, and going through full thyroidextomy, I have a mass growing on my thyroid bed.

I have to go through a radio iodine test to see if it is infact cancer. Same type of radio iodine for the cancer treatments, but in a smaller does for testing.

Im just so tired of it all. I just got the restricted diet paperwork, and I'm already depressed just thinking about going through that again. Im tired before even starting things.

P.S. I was 17 in 2011 when I first went through my thyroid cancer. Im 33 (34 come September 4th).

My Primary Care Provider just told me that I'm the only patent that makes the whole office happy to have.

She said that every time I'm scheduled to come in, they always get excited and happy to see me. And that there's usually a couple nurses who "fight" to do my intake cause I'm such a pleasure to have in the office.

Im honored, but i dont feel like I'm a good enough person to warrant that level of excitement. Especially since I'm just a patient. But also, why would she lie like that. We were just having a causal conversation about how I've been and how life is going. So it doesnt seem like she was lying.

And this isn't the only time I've been told somehting similar, either.

Does anyone else fantasize about winning the lottery, even though you've never bought a ticket?

I feel like I've got this whole scenario planned out if I ever won the lottery. But yet, I'm also not nieve enough to think i would ever have a chance at winning. So I dont play.

How do yall feel about physical touch when comforting a patient?

I went in for a biopsy on my neck. I had cancer back in 2011 with a total thyroidextomy, followed by radio-iodine treatment. But it appears its come back.

So I went to get a biopsy done, and I was feeling nervous. And to be quite frank, the cell collection was more painful than i remember despite the numbing agent.

I think the nurse either saw how tense I was or just knew, but she just stroked my arm gently when the needle was jammed into my neck. It wasn't much, but enough to keep my mind from totaly focusing on the pain.

I felt it was a very nice thing she did for me. I haven't had that type of care and concern in a long time from any medical professional.

So where do you draw the line? What's do you consider patient care vs crossing the line?

A content creator I've been following play through the trilogy just had ME3 spoiled for her.

And I feel so bad for her. This is the first play through she's done so all the major plot points someone posted in one of her clips. Why can't people just be good and not try and ruin things for others.

Is there enough vinegar in Wochestershir if used as the main seasoning to preserve the meat?

I love worch and I just made a small batch where instead of soy sauce, I used worch as the main seasoning. I'm thinking like biltong, where the vinegar and is what's the main soucr of food preservation.

I'm just wondering how much preservative properties it adds.

The US health insurance system is going to kill me one day, cause it canceled my insulin Rx for 2 weeks.

I had my insulin canceled by my insurance. They never gave my doctor a reason. And I was already established as being on the insulin.

I was without my insulin for 2 weeks while they went through the process of "verifying" that I've already been on other medications. A process I have already been through. A process that my doctor had done several times already.

My blood sugar went from 150-200, up to 500. I had to go to the hospital and get an insulin shot that way. I managed to get one pen of insulin, which lasted 4 days. And I had to pay out of pocket for it. You'd think they would be OK with the minimal proce to insulin than pay for an ER visit.

I just feel so defeated. Thankfully, I have my full prescription now. But now, I'm doubting the reliability in the future. Oh, and did I mention I also have 2 tumors that I'm afraid they will say they don't cover. I'm just.... I don't know.
