It's not the first time I had the problem that after an update, commands of multiple of the plugins just vanished (Audition had and has this problem, Illustrator is by far the worst at the moment, After Effects and Premiere was A LOT of back and forth until that was fixed by the support but I cared the most for that one).

Sometimes the issue seems to be as easy as the command name being written wrong in the ProfileInfo.json other times, I don't even know how they screwed up that badly, that commands can't even be found in the search anymore and both icons and descriptive text are missing in the UI.

Label "front camera" is shown, but action is not "available". It still executes but can't be changed to another button as it won't show up in the search.

Before you wonder "oh that's not logitech, that's Loupedeck". They use their software after they bought them. It's exactly the same and doesn't make a difference where you look. Both applications export lp5 file type for profiles and when you unpack/unzip them, there is even Loupedeck still mentioned in the ApplicationInfo.json
The only difference is that the default profiles expose way more commands in the Loupedeck application, so you can see better how many things are missing.

If you already had a working profile, the issue might not be that severe as the unnamed buttons are still working. But you can't rearrange then, you can't find them in the search, so you can't set them and working like that, with half of the icons missing, is a real pain in the butt:

In such cases, I only can guess which command does what action. The ProfileInfo.json does expose the command names but I can't change any icons as long as the "action (is) missing".

All in all, Logitech advertises it's products around software that is clearly not working as it should and every update is basically russian roulette as you can only upgrade and not downgrade to an older version.
So if you are interested in their products, especially for using it with your desired software I can only advise to skip it until such issues are not happen as frequently anymore (and I'm speaking about almost every second update they push).

I'm using Raycast since the first beta and was blown away by it's features and possibilities, also the vivid exchange in the futurebase forum.

Unfortunately I noticed some changes, now that the release is coming.

The futurebase forum is mostly closed down now. The only feedback you can share there, is for extensions.

There still is the app internal feedback, right but the transparency is gone, voting is gone, finding solutions with the community also gone.

Additionally to that, I rarely get any reaction from the feedback I filed. The reaction took weeks to get an answer for and the information of my feedback were hidden in the cut of in the subject line of the mail I got.

I answered anyway, yet no reply at all since weeks.

All in all, not very trustworthy from my point of view.

Second: I don't like the lack of option with pricing.

If you just want to use the local only tools, you still need to subscribe to it. No way to use something like optional updates for further versions or other models.
I don't use any of the AI features, so why should I pay reoccurring for a local only tool? The price is way too high to justify a purchase that will only give me a longer list of the history clipbord (that shouldn't be a pro feature in the first place as it is local only).

I don't mind paying for good software and its development but 10$ a month is just not worth it for the features I use or the ones that are hidden behind a paywall now.

Security is still something that they didn't fix when it comes to clipboard management.

Every clipboard manager that I know of has a way to turn off temporarily which makes sense for when you dealing with passwords or data like banking information. Raycast still didn't implement a simple command to turn off clipboard management. You only have the possibility to turn it off manually or delete the information after it was already saved... inconvenient an insecure from my perspective and something that needs to be fixed finally.

I'm a bit lost on that.

Is there no metadata for sequences that includes when that sequence was created and when it was changed?

I was really sure, that was a feature and feel like I'm getting crazy :D

I already had some problems with the remix feature, mainly that it bakes in the fades it applies (they are shown by the squiggly vertical lines).
As far as I can tell, they are just normal fades, so no generative media here... so I thought because when match framing that file and looking on the source timecode, it's a new timecode. But when exposing the file in the project, the original file is shown, not a new file.

For me, that is rather inconsistent. Is it a new file that is generated here and that I can work with (why is it not in the project then as separate file like when you record stuff into the timeline?) or is it just the original file with fades (but why is it not just a nested sequence or behaves as one that can be edited further?)?

The new problem for me that I saw now: aaf export and positioning.
No matter how I exported the project aaf, the DAW never positions the (cut up) mixdown properly on the timeline.

The reason why I use the mixdown feature in the first place is just to get some ideas but it's super annoying that it makes that much problems further down the pipeline.

I tried to use Film Impacts (now part of Premiere) Motion Tween for an easy and quick zoom out with easing but noticed that zooming out will add black bars, although the video has plenty of room to be zoomed out.

Is there any way of adding/combining file versions from existing documents?

In v2 I did use links when having file versions, so the versions are already in paperless.

But after trying out v3 I noticed, I can only upload new documents to add them as version. That somewhat defies the purpose of that feature or what do you think?

Additionally, now I always would need to think about the way how I add a document beforehand, depending on how I want to organize it in paperless as I can't use the consume folder any longer as I can only upload versions through the paperless UI.

Is there anything I'm missing?

I wonder how or if it is possible to group different media or audio sources in OBS for further control like controlling levels in total or adding audio effects (like it is possible with video effects already).

Nesting didn't work that way (doesn't add a new source audio, just the separate sources inside of that nest), grouping also adds no further audio control.

Is there any way at all to achieve that at the moment or are people interested in that? I didn't find that much about it so far (to my honest surprise).

As often, I'm again in the situation that I clean up a Illustrator project and often need to select layers to reorder them and then objects to group them.

I still haven't found a way to take one selection and apply it to the other.
So object selection <--> layer selection.

The only workaround when selecting objects on the artboard that I know of is: grouping, moving in the layer panel, ungrouping.

But I have no way of turning a layer selection into a object selection.

Is there any tool or command in Illustrator that I'm missing out on or a script that adds that feature?

I'm talking about the left hand, the upper notes of the first eighth note in the first four bars. What is the reason for it not to be connected?
Any specific reason or just funny notation?

I'm interested if there are any people in the TickTick community that would be interested in self hosting their own TickTick or would like the ability to have a local database.

For me, self hosting became interesting not only for having a local backup but also for access, even if web services are down (on their end or on mine).

One example for a paid service that I use that way at the moment is ManicTime and it works quite well.

Are there other people here that would be interested in running TickTick locally?

I wanted to combine three open documents but there's no way to "combine open documents".

So next I tried to search and mark them but when one file is marked, the search disappears...

Next approach was to link the documents with the custom field and search for that via advanced search but didn't have luck with that.
I tried something like:

link:this is my document
link:"this is my document"
document link:this is my document

but didn't have any luck with that. How is the right syntax for that?

I could use tags for filtering as a workaround but I also use tags for sorting the files in folders, so I don't want to clutter them up for that kind of use cases.

Did someone else notice that the new mosaic effect seems to add a blur before the pixelation?

Compared to the legacy one it's way softer, so the "pixel effect" isn't as strong. I didn't find a setting in the new effect either that would change this behavior (ironically as there are way more settings to choose from)

Tile size is roughly the same, but the result of the new Mosaic is way softer. That problem gets more apparent when using bigger tiles.

I also did a test with high tile settings and even there the result is different with the new one. With the old Mosaic and high tile setting, the image is pretty much the same with and without the effect (as expected)

This is one thing that bugs me for many versions of premiere now.

There are multiple possible situations that will change, close or even open random sequences:

• closing and opening a project
• resetting or changing workspaces

Source sequences are not saved at all when closing a project.

The problem with that is when working between multiple sequences, every time I reopen the project, I need to go through the process of opening all that sequences.
Premiere should save them, their state (source sequence) and their order when closed.
Moving panels is saved when I close the program, so why are sequences not in a reliable way?

Hi, I've wondered what experience you made or what differences you've noticed when using folders for structuring compared to tags.

I've seen some people having only a few folders and mostly using tags or frontmatter properties for structuring.

Most of database or DAM software I used tends to create lots of folders to get better performance on a file level. How does Obsidian deal with that?
For example, someone has a folder "Work". When I put everything in there that's work related, the notes/files could reach thousands quite quickly. On a file level this usually leads to a decrease in performance when working inside of that folder.
Would that also be the case inside of Obsidian?

How granular would you use folders to get the best performance from Obsidian?

Is there a way to exclude or limit object mask to certain areas (like in Photoshop).

Like a face (or head) only mask that also is able to exclude hands when they come across the face.

All examples that I've seen, always go for the whole object (or person).

I don't think about shape masks in that example because in case of a head turn, it will loose tracking almost instantly.

Also: does someone have experience, how well it deals with occlusions?
