Torso, chest, armpit, upper arm, back and groin rash. PLEASE HELP

Healthy 29 year old female. Don’t smoke, occasionally drink alcohol. Exercise, eat a clean and varied diet with whole foods, drink plenty of water, no ailments. Located in Northern British Columbia.

Duration:
- wide spread rash has been present since 7th August, has progressively gotten worse since then.
-the larger red scaly/scabby spots began the first week of July. #1 first looked like a bug bite and then went pimply/scaly. 2 weeks later, #2 turned up between my breasts - initially as a tiny pimple and then developed into the red scab/rash, #3 turned up a few days after #2, also looked like a pimple to start, and then progressively worsened into a pimply/scaly spot.

On the 3rd August I started taking Nitrofurantoin for a UTI. I have not taken this medication before. On the 7th August, 4 days after taking it, I started to develop a widespread rash on my stomach, underarms, chest and back - this has progressively worsened since the 7th August, becoming more red with larger spots. I ceased taking the Nitrofurantoin when the rash developed on the 7th August.

It is very rarely itchy. Itches more after a shower, but nothing crazy. It is not painful.

I went to the ER and they prescribed me Bactrim since I had MRSA when I was a teenager, and he thought it could possibly be a staph rash. I am currently on day 3 of Bactrim.

Sudocream seems to help improve them.

I had a fungal rash in my armpits in April/May that was completely resolved using oral Fluconazole and topical Clotrimazole cream.

I had an online appointment with a dermatologist, and they told me they were unable to diagnose me online. They prescribed me Betaderm Cream 0.1%. I have not yet started using this.

I am trying to get an in person appointment with a dermatologist.

Has anybody else had something similar happen?

Any ideas on what this may be?

Things I have thought it might be:
- Pityriasis Rosea
- Molluscum Contagiosum
- Guttate Psoriasis
- Nummular Eczema
-Granuloma Annulare
- Staph Folliculitis
- Erythema multiforme
-Drug reaction to Nitrofurantoin

Please help 🙏🏻

What is this rash? Started first week of July as x1 round bug bite looking lump

29F. Healthy lifestyle, plenty of water + sleep + exercise. Very hygienic.

Had fungal rash in armpits in April/May that was treated with Fluconazole and topical Clotrimazole cream - cleared up mid June (first time I had ever had this).

I got married on the 27th June and the week after our wedding, I noticed what looked like a bug bite on my upper left arm. I left it alone and it developed into a pimply/scaly rash (I had never seen anything like that on my body?). I left it alone and hoped it would heal on its own, however 2-3 weeks later I noticed a small itchy spot between my breasts one night - I scratched it and then let it be as I presumed it was just a small pimple.

The pimple never went away and has continued to develop into a red rash that won’t improve with either topical cortisone cream or topical clotrimazole.

A few days later I noticed another small pimple on my upper right arm- I scratched that and then it turned in to the exact same kind of rash as my upper left arm, and now the small pustule/pimples are spreading down my right upper arm from it.

At the beginning of August I got a UTI, so I took Nitrofurantoin 100mg x2 a day for 4 days - I stopped on day 4 as I started to break out in a small red spot rash on my torso, chest, back, just above my groin area and under my breasts.

The rash hasn’t spread on my arms or onto my legs.

I have taken UTI medication in the past with no side effects.

Unsure if the small red spot rash could also possibly be contact dermatitis from the Tide laundry detergent in camp (normally I use a very clean, simple ingredient laundry detergent for sensitive skin).

I am currently in a remote hunting camp in northern Canada for work for the summer, so am unable to get to a Dr’s office.

None of the rashes are very itchy at all, only mildly itchy sometimes, but I avoid itching the spots.

It is driving me insane not knowing how to treat this rash. I’m unsure if it is Pityriasis Rosea, fungal, bacterial, an antibiotic rash, contact dermatitis due to the Tide laundry detergent in camp??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have also booked an online consultation with a Dermatologist.

Thank you!

Does this look like PR?

The week after our wedding at the end of June I had what I thought was a large itchy bug bite on my upper left arm. I scratched it and it turned into a scaly, pimply rash about 1inch in diameter.

I didn’t think much of it and thought it would heal on its own so I left it alone.

Fast forward 4 weeks later and I got an itchy pimply spot between my breasts- left it alone and it started to develop into a red rash. Then I had what I thought was a small pimple come up on on my upper right arm and I scratched it and it turned into the same red scaly/pimply patch as my upper left arm.

Now I am getting small red bumps all over my torso, chest and armpits - they haven’t developed into the same scaly/pimply rash yet.

None of the spots are very itchy.

I’m in a remote hunting camp in Northern Canada working right now so I can’t get to a Dr and it’s driving me INSANE not knowing what it is.

I’ve put both cortisone cream and fungal cream on the rashes and neither have helped.

Tipping wedding planner's staff? (who we already paid for, directly to her business)

As per the title...

Our wedding has been and gone a week ago now. I paid the final remaining balance to my wedding planner this morning, and within 2 hours, they sent me an email thanking us for the final payment and then mentioning that it was less a gratuity and then asking if we were dissatisfied with our service staff...

I am conflicted, because at no point during any of our planning process (our meetings, calls, texts, etc.) for the year leading up to the wedding did she ever mention that a gratuity was expected for her staff.

It was never mentioned on any of her quotes, nor in our contract. We paid $50 per hour per staff member - totalling $1800 for three setup/cleanup staff.

My husband and I are unsure how to navigate this, because our planner/day of coordinator truly was amazing and we loved working with her, however unlike our catering, we did not factor in tipping our wedding planner into our budget, especially because she owns the business, and it was never mentioned until she added a note about adding a gratuity for her staff at the bottom of the final invoice...

We are in Canada - so we are used to tipping, however because she owns the business and we can directly see that we paid $50 per hour per staff, we genuinely didn't think tipping was necessary.

Any suggestions?

How long for fungal rash in armpit to clear up? Prescribed 150mg Fluconazole for 3 days and Clotrimazole cream

Had this rash show up on my underarms after shaving at the beginning of May.

Thought it was just a rash from the weather warming up and from shaving (I’ll normally get a spot or two after shaving, nothing crazy though).

I avoided shaving for a while and let it clear up on its own, which it did. Then after I would shave it would come back - I threw out my safety razor that I kept in the shower (whoops) (have done this for years with various safety razors and never had an issue).

I purchased some disposable razors for now and am leaving my pits for as long as I can between shaves, also not using deodorant right now as to not aggravate it (I live in North-Central British Columbia, so I don’t used deodorant much as it’s normally quite cool here year round).

Went to the pharmacy a few weeks ago for some cortisone cream, that helped a little, but didn’t make it fully go away, which made me suspect fungal.

I went to the dr yesterday and they prescribed me 150mg fluconazole for 3 days and clotrimazole antifungal cream. Took my first dose of fluconazole yesterday and have been using the cream and practicing good hygiene (washing my armpits with gentle cleanser, keeping them dry, using paper towel to dab them dry as to not transfer the fungus to my towels etc).

Anyone else had this before? How long did it take for yours to clear up? I have my wedding end of June and would prefer to not have a red rash in my armpits for it 😅😭

What is wrong with my dahlia plant?

Planted a week ago in zone 4A

u/bigbel100 — 3 months ago

Will my newly planted flowers survive 1deg Celsius (33.8F) tonight?

As per the title - will my newly planted flowers (this afternoon in Zone 4A (Mackenzie, BC), be ok when it gets to 1degree Celsius at 5am tomorrow morning?

I might have been a bit gun-ho with planting this flower bed today..

It got to 15 degrees Celsius today and our sunlight hours are currently 16 hours a day- with the sun setting at 9.20pm.

The coldest it will get tonight is 1degree Celsius at 5am tomorrow morning- which is when sunrise is.

I have covered them with a plastic sheet and stakes, and made sure none of the flowers are touching the plastic.

This is the coldest night- with the forecast showing a warming trend for the next two weeks.

This is my first year gardening in BC (from Australia originally), so I got all excited!

Thanks!
