Is Starlink available in Armenia, and what’s the real-life experience like?
I’ve checked the Starlink website and it shows that the service is available in Armenia, but I’d love to hear from people actually using it there.
How does Starlink compare with local internet providers in terms of speed, stability, latency, and overall reliability? Is it genuinely fast and stable enough for everyday use?
Also, how is it for gaming (ping/latency), 4K streaming, video calls, and working remotely?
Would love to hear from anyone currently using Starlink in Armenia, especially compared with providers like Ucom etc

Is anyone else noticing how many people are leaving Dubai lately?
The Dubai Classifieds groups seem to be getting bombarded with posts every single day from people moving out. Where I live, there used to be around 19 available bedrooms and studios for rent in the entire community. Now there are 412 units available. and so many of them are just sitting empty.
Even JBR feels different. Restaurants that used to be packed are sometimes almost empty.
I’ve been getting this really strange feeling lately when I walk around or drive through places that used to be busy, and there’s barely anyone around. Honestly, it’s making me a little sad. It’s even made me question my own situation and wonder whether I’m in the right place.
I know Dubai goes through cycles, and hopefully the economy picks up again. But I also personally know so many people who are struggling right now, cutting expenses, leaving the country, or simply trying to get by.
Is anyone else feeling the same thing? Or am I just noticing it more lately?
I really hope things recover soon. ❤️
I currently live in Dubai, and we have the Pura 90 Pro, international version.
I’ve gone to check the phone twice already, and honestly, the only thing holding me back now is a few concerns:
First, does Android Auto work?
Second, I was told that Google Pay doesn’t work. If that’s the case, what’s the best alternative? Is Huawei Wallet supported in the UAE, and does it work normally for contactless payments?
Third, will EMUI 16 continue receiving software and security updates internationally?
These are the main things stopping me from buying it. The phone is honestly very tempting—the cameras are insane, and the software looks really clean. I just want to make sure I won’t regret switching because of these limitations.
Hello guys! does anyone know why there is a foul sewage smell in the greens area? You cant even step outside it smells terrible 🤡 🤮

Hello everyone! I've mentioned before that I'm planning to move to Armenia, so I'd really like to start learning the language. However, I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to find good resources.
I also heard that Western Armenian is the more widely spoken dialect. Is that actually true, or should I be focusing on Eastern Armenian instead?
If anyone has recommendations on where to start or knows of any good courses, apps, or teachers, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
My wife and I are seriously thinking about moving to Armenia in about two years. We currently live in Dubai, but we've reached a point where we want a slower, more relaxed lifestyle where we can both work remotely and eventually settle down and start a family.
We've already started looking at apartments and found some very nice new developments. A modern one-bedroom in a new building seems to cost around $90,000, which feels reasonable compared to what we're used to.
One thing we're still concerned about is infrastructure. I've heard mixed opinions about power, water, and internet reliability. Some friends (Lebanese Armenians who now live in Yerevan) told me outages are very rare, while another friend said they still happen. So I'm not sure what to believe. Are electricity, water, or internet cuts actually a common issue today? Is it anything like Lebanon, or are they generally minor and infrequent?
We're not looking for luxury or a flashy lifestyle. We simply want a peaceful place to call home, build our future, and enjoy a better work-life balance. We've visited Yerevan twice so far, spending around 30 days there in total, and every time it has felt like home. The people, the food, and the overall culture remind me a lot of Lebanon, where I grew up in the Armenian quarter. I also have two uncles who married Armenian women, so I've always had Armenian culture around me.
Safety is another important factor for us. How safe is Yerevan in general for everyday life? Is there anything we should realistically be aware of before making such a big decision?
We're also looking into developers. One company that really caught our attention is Zover. They seem professional, have delivered several completed projects, and their developments look well-built. Does anyone here have experience with them? Are they considered a reputable developer? Also, which real estate developers or agencies would you personally recommend?
Finally, my wife is Armenian but spent almost her entire life in Russia, so she isn't very familiar with Armenia either. We got married in Dubai, but we haven't yet registered our marriage in Armenia. Is obtaining Armenian residency straightforward in our situation? Has anyone gone through a similar process?
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have made a similar move or anyone currently living in Armenia. We'd love to hear both the positives and the challenges before making such a big life decision.
Hello guys,
I currently own a 2020 Mercedes A200 Sedan. I bought it last year for AED 120,000. It's a GCC-spec car with a clean title, no accidents, not a single scratch, and it was Gargash approved.
The thing is, I might be leaving the UAE next year, and the car is currently financed through Emirates NBD.
What are my options in this situation? Should I sell the car and use the sale proceeds to pay off the remaining loan? Or is it possible for someone to buy the car and take over my existing loan, with the financing transferred into their name so they continue making the payments?
How does the process usually work in the UAE? I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences.
Thank you!
Hi guys,
I currently live in Dubai, and back when I was in Lebanon, I used to watch this series on TV. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere here—not on a single streaming platform. Even services like Prime Video and others have a much smaller catalog in the UAE compared to the US (Hulu, Prime US, etc.).
Does anyone know of a way to download or watch the series? Thanks in advance!
Traveled all the way from Lebanon! 🇱🇧 to experience the magic of this country! Beautiful Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 thank you 💚🧡❤️

Hello everyone,
My wife and I recently got married. I'm Lebanese, and she's Armenian, born and raised in Russia. We currently live in Dubai, but we've decided that we want to leave and settle in Armenia.
For us, it's about much more than just moving countries. We want a place we can truly call home. My wife would be closer to her relatives, and we'd also like to move her mother from Russia to Armenia so she can be closer to us.
I work remotely and can continue doing so, earning around $6,000 per month, so employment isn't really the issue. We're also looking forward to getting away from Dubai's extreme heat, the lack of nature, and the constant fast-paced, almost robotic lifestyle. We're hoping for a slower, more balanced life where we can build a future.
What I'm confused about is the immigration and residency process. Since my wife is Armenian, what would be the correct steps for me?
I've read several websites, but the information seems a bit confusing and I'm not sure what the actual process looks like in practice.
If anyone has gone through something similar or has experience with the Armenian residency process, I'd really appreciate any advice or guidance. Thank you!

My wife and I will be visiting Sri Lanka soon for our honeymoon, and we’re very excited!
We’re planning a 10-day trip and have been offered a private guided tour package for USD 1,500 for two people. Before booking, we’d love to hear whether this sounds like a reasonable price by Sri Lankan standards.
The package includes:
• All hotel accommodations for 10 days
• Breakfast
• Private air-conditioned vehicle
• Private driver/guide throughout the trip
• Airport pickup with name paging
• Driver’s accommodation
• All taxes
The package does not include:
• Any entrance or admission fees
• Lunch or dinner
• Attractions, parks, museums, cultural shows, etc.
The itinerary includes places such as Colombo, Negombo, Sigiriya, Pidurangala Rock, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Kandy, Horton Plains, Nine Arches Bridge, Buduruwagala, Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and other popular sites, but all entry tickets are paid separately by us.
For those familiar with Sri Lanka, does $1,500 for two people sound reasonable for a 10-day private guided tour with accommodation and breakfast included, or does it seem expensive?
Also, as first-time visitors from Lebanon, we’d love to hear:
• Must-visit places we shouldn’t miss
• Hidden gems and local favorites
• Tourist traps or overrated attractions to avoid
• Foods we should definitely try
• Any scams, safety tips, or things tourists should be aware of
• Local etiquette and cultural customs visitors should respect
Thank you very much! We’re looking forward to experiencing your beautiful country.
Hello everyone,
My wife and I are visiting from Lebanon soon. We’ll be spending a week in Malaysia first, followed by 5 days in Macau. To be honest, I hadn’t heard much about Macau before planning this trip (no disrespect at all) — in our part of the world, we mostly know about mainland China.
We’re not really interested in gambling or casinos, but we would enjoy seeing a good show. I’d love some help creating a relaxed 5-day itinerary focused on the real Macau — especially the unique Portuguese-Chinese heritage, historic areas, culture, and food.
Could you please share:
Thank you so much in advance! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone,
I'm Lebanese and currently living in Dubai. im 29. I haven't been back to Lebanon in about seven years. My wife is Russian, and we're planning to visit Lebanon at the end of June for 10 days.
We'd love some recommendations for the best places to visit, especially churches, historical sites, museums, hiking trails, and other must-see destinations. We're particularly interested in Lebanon's mountains, nature, coastal towns, and beaches—especially around Batroun and northern Lebanon.
Several people have recommended Wadi Qadisha (Kadisha Valley) and Deir El Qamar in the Chouf region, and we'd like to know if they're worth including in our itinerary.
We'd also appreciate advice on areas that are currently considered safe for tourists and any regions that are best avoided due to security concerns.
Could anyone suggest a well-balanced 10-day itinerary that combines history, culture, nature, mountain villages, hiking, and some relaxing time by the sea?
Thank you in advance for your recommendations!
