Are there any other brands like Greco I could check out? Does a neck humbucker make any sense? (Bridge needs to be the twangy single coil, but more attack would be nice also). What type of wood would give me the highest sustain?

Unix guy thinking of purchasing a MacBook Neo here. I mostly need office stuff (Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice) and some tools, all of which are available on homebrew. Does anyone here run macOS without an Apple ID (I believe I've had five or so, but those are use-once-and-forget if I need to install a certain application). Up until 10.14 it was perfectly fine to use a Mac without Apple ID. Is this still a thing? Would be an absolute no-go if I had to use an Apple ID ...
Ich lese so viel von Scams, Schwierigkeiten mit Lieferdiensten, Abzocken, Rücksendeproblemen etc ... Was und warum kauft ihr online ein, was man so dringend braucht? Außer Konzert/Festivaltickets und meinem Fairphone vor zwei Jahren hab ich lange nichts online gekauft. Was braucht ihr so, was es nicht generalüberholt, von Büroleerständen, in Läden in größeren Städten etc. gäbe? Die Convenience scheint es ja nicht unbedingt zu sein.
Ich benutze seit Vista kein Windows, bin daher totaler Noob. Immer wieder tauchen auf Reddit User auf, die nach Windows Updates(?) gepromptet werden, einen Bitlocker Key einzugeben?
Die Nummern sind doch sicherlich notiert ... oder sind die nur über den Microsoft-Account abrufbar? Muss man sich hier mit Sicherheitsfragen authentifizieren? Und wenn ja, sollte das nicht problemlos funktionieren?
Außerdem wozu das ganze Sicherheitsgetue? Über Phishing, Cracking, schlechte Passwörtern oder Social Engineering ist es doch viel leichter, Daten zu stehlen, als die Platte physisch auszubauen und in einen anderen Rechner reinzuknallen?
Verlieren die User hier regelmäßig Daten? Was ist der Sinn von Bitlocker?
Using Youtube mainly to listen to music (really not a heavy user, not even logged in but using cookies). But today there are very unusual suggestions (this is the 4th one) of swiss underground music without context (?) plopping up. I do listen to folk music and austrian music but ... why on Earth might that be?

Having used this disk in several computers and written on by several OSs it seems to be in a flaky state. It is formatted as ext4 and I mount it by having Dolphin to the work, upon which I am asked for the root password. Trying to copy large chunks of data, have to enter the password every ten minutes. What's going on here?
mount spits out:
/dev/sdb on /run/media/user/data type ext4 (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,errors=remount-ro,uhelper=udisks2)
Also, why is the whole disk mounted, not just sdb1?
