Ultegra 6700 Brifters - both brake and shift housing route along drop bars? Anyone have good reference photos?

Ultegra 6700 Brifters - both brake and shift housing route along drop bars? Anyone have good reference photos?

Building my old CAAD8 back up with these shifters. It's been a long time since I've cabled a road bike, and a first time with these shifters, I'm used to the shift housing coming out the side of the shifter. Do you just run the shift and brake housing next to each other in the underside of the drop bars? Does anyone have reference photos I could see?

1979 635csi euro desirability vs. later years

A 1979 635csi popped up near me, great condition and looks to have the euro bumpers. How do the early models compare to the late models? Under 100k miles, seller asking 20k

Shoes to supplement my Saucony Guide 17 with

I've run through two pairs of Guide 17's with success. My first modern running shoe. Given that these worked well, could you please recommend other shoes that would work well? 188lbs and size 11.5 if that matters

Beetroot Juice

I've heard that beetroot juice has a positive effect on hard efforts. Question being, if I buy a bottle of beet juice from the supermarket, how much should I drink before a race? Note, I see beetroot juice concentrate as a supplement, but it makes more sense to me cost wise just to buy beet juice, unless I need to drink an unreasonable amount of beet juice

What does your strength training look like?

Curious what you do, and when you program it into your schedule. Training for a half ironman next year.

30 Rock has the most staying power the sitcoms of it's era

Comparing to Community, The Office, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock hasn't fallen off and continues to be great, at least where I am in season 4 episode 19.

What is your strength training regime/workout look like?

Middle aged runner here. I generally think that a weekly strength training workout focused on injury prevention is a good idea. What are you doing for this and when do you program it into your week?

Multitool Suggestion + Small First Aid Kit Suggestion.

What do you like to carry that is a no-nonsense, no gimmick, built well multitool? Gotta be able to throw it in a small hip pack as I ride a lot of different bikes. I had a crank brothers M-whatever a decade ago, but it fell apart.

Also, anyone have a go-to small first aid kit they've assembled? Had a freak crash the other day and was mopping up blood with my emergency toilet paper. Figured some kind of mini wound care kit was in order.

Quartz Clock Movement Recommendation - needs to clear 1.5in clock face width

I have a chunk of formed metal that I want to turn into a clock, effectively making a clock face that is 1.5in thick.

I'm having a hard time finding a movement that clears 1.5in. Everything I see is much thinner than that. Is there a reason I couldn't make a piece to extend the existing shafts to meet my desired width, or does it become a torque issue?

I'm also looking for the hands to be 7in long.

Thank you for your guidance!

We currently have a slew of prusa's and a markforged onyx one that we've outgrown. Boss wants a larger bed, and higher quality/stronger/faster prints. PA6/12 CF or other engineered filaments capable.

I was thinking SLS could be the ticket over FDM. I'm not sure what is tried and true at this price point.

The initial use case is for low volume and prototype of to be injection molded device covers.

I appreciate your input.
