Prologue vs Optiq? Leasing Questions

My current lease is up this month. I’ve looked at all the EVs. I don’t like the Hyundai or the Kia. I love the Rivian R2, the Volvo EX 60 and the BMW iX3., but their lease deals border on financial insanity. I’ve settled on the Prologue and the Cadillac Optiq. There are some great deals on the Prologue. Not so much on the Optiq, but it’s not as crazy as the others I mentioned. I like the Optiq better. It’s more refined, the screen is amazing. SuperCruise is a nice addition and I worry about the Prologue not getting as much support since it’s being discontinued (Service and Parts, etc.). That being said, I would be happy with either. I have a couple of questions:

  1. Are my concerns about the Prologue overblown. What experience have Prologue owners had?

  2. how much more would you pay per month for the Optiq. Ive gotten quotes for under 500 for Elite trim with minimal due at signing (and i think there is more room). The initial offer on the Optiq Premium Sport is over 800 for same terms, but they have told me to make them an offer. I cannot justify paying that much more for the Optiq even given my above issues. So what should I offer. In your opinion what’s a reasonable premium for the Optiq?

  3. I have flexibility because I can share my wife’s car for a month or two. I’m tempted to do that to get better deals, but I worry about the inventory of the Prologues running out. Should I be concerned?

Just trying to figure out what to do. I’m truly fine in either vehicle. But I’m coming from an Audi and would love the luxury of the Caddy.

What would you do?

Why were the choppers always a surprise?

Every time the choppers came, it seemed to be a surprise to the entire camp. To the point it would happen right after they sat down to do something (e.g., Adam’s Ribs) Surely this couldn’t have really been the case. I can’t imagine the hospital wasn’t apprised on when major fighting was about to begin. Even if this weren’t the case, surely the battalion aid station would call the surgical hospital when they called the choppers to come pick up the patients. The hospital would have to have notice so they could have supplies, blood, staff, etc. It’s one of the things that bothers me the most about the show. Does this bother anyone else?

Changing the strap for the bracelet on the Seventies Chrono?

My Seventies Chrono came with both the rubber strap and the bracelet. I love the strap, but the bracelet would add a lot of versatility. That being said it doesn’t seem easy to switch and I don’t live close to an AD. Does anyone have any experience changing the straps out on their own?

Which Ceramic Ingenieur

I popped into the boutique to check out the Green Ceramic Ingenieur. When the black ceramic was released I was smitten. Loved the watch. IMO, the green is better. In person the green is quite dark and looks almost black in some light. But I really love the gold accents in the indices, hands, and crown. I think it adds more depth to the watch and classes it up. But I still love the black. It’s a great stealth watch. I think the green will be my next purchase though. It was interesting to see them next to one another. How much of a discount can I eventually get outside of the boutique or preowned? How would you guys do it? This would be my first IWC.

Which of these would you guys pick?

Northflag vs. OG North Flag in Boutique.

https://youtu.be/74XJ2T9J67g?is=jiicr2Z7JC_oKKjk

Went to boutique to look at the New North Flag. The SA was excited as he had never seen the OG before. I was excited about the new watch and was thinking about getting this one because I’ve been looking for a flyer GMT for a while. I think I’m going to pass. I think the omission of the PR was a mistake. So much negative space at 9 o clock. The symmetry of the new one is way off. That’s why all the promotional pics have the hands on that side. The lack of the ceramic bezel also changes things. The original was a tool watch. This is trying to be half tool watch, half dressier/gada watch. The first had character. This one is pretty generic.

That being said, I’m not the market for this watch. I’m a guy who liked a watch that only was available for six years because it sold so poorly. They are clearly trying to attract more mainstream buyers. I think this might work for them.

I included a video I took comparing the two watches.

Does anyone have experience with Club 24 or the Gold Glove Club?

I’m thinking about getting a premium plan for next year. Terra Club is too expensive and the PNC club is too crowded/rowdy. The rep suggested Gold Glove and Club 24. I’ve been in GG club before and jt seems nice. What would it be like on a regular basis? Club 24 is a little more expensive. But also seems nice. I’ve never been there during a game or with people there? Does anyone have experience with that club?

Thanks in advance!

Should I sell the RTT or convert to a ticket and then sell?

I’ve got 2 RTT. Work obligations will not allow me to go. I am wondering whets the best way to sell: As RTT through the marketplace or wait and convert to tickets and then sell those through whatever venue I’m allowed to do that in. This is such a weird system.
