Are ID requests allowed here? Martin/St Lucie county line.

The first 4 pictures are two Native Hibiscus. I’ve been trying to ID them for some time now. I May have to wait until they bloom.

Pictures 3&4 might be Hibiscus Poeppigii. But until it blooms I’m unsure.

1&2 I’m not sure what type but it should definitely be Florida native.

The last pics I’m not sure of. Again, been trying to ID for a while now. Not sure how it ended up in a planting pot. Don’t even know if it’s a native. It’s been suggested that it’s some type of Ruellia.

Any help is always appreciated. And sorry if we’re not supposed to ask for ID’s here.

Brand new at deliveries.

I recently got a job delivering pizzas on the weekends as a way to help pay the bills. I’d imagine I’m older than most pizza delivery people but gotta do what I gotta do.

I’ve noticed most people, by far, pay with cards or PayPal. And it’s all done before the delivery goes out. I think I’ve done 5 deliveries where the people were paying cash when I got there, that’s out of let’s say over 100 deliveries.

Yesterday I delivered to a small hotel. I noticed when printing out the receipt that it said $0.00 next to tip. Pretty much that’s all I look at when printing out the receipts. I’m sure some of you see where this is going.

I get to the room
And there’s two kids jumping around the hallway all excited. They had longish hair, were barefoot and looked a little unkempt. I do try no to judge people. I
Mean who the hell am I? I was a junkie and a dirty punk rock guy for years. But I did judge. Mostly I was annoyed about the no tip and I thought “white trash” as I walked away.

Fast forward to the end of the night and my boss is asking for more money than I remember taking in. I had a $20 bank and a $64 delivery, but he’s telling me I owe over $100. He tells me the delivery and instantly I know which delivery it is. I know he won’t fire me but I assume I’m now going to
Lose about $50 in tips. I worked 9 hours and had a pretty good day. Some days I get no tips on more than half my deliveries. Not just me the other drivers too. There’s a segment of people that just don’t tip. But yesterday was almost all tips.

My heart sank. I got mad, frustrated, anxious, and felt like a dumb ass all at once. My boss walked away to kind of give me a minute to think about it or whatever. So I frantically went through the garbage looking for the receipt and actually found it. Luckily because I had thrown a bunch into the outside dumpster. So I called the woman and figured she wouldn’t answer or say she paid or something. I didn’t know what to expect but didn’t think there’d be a happy ending. As soon as I told her who I was she was like “yea come get your money. What was it again?” I was like “if you just give me $40 because this was my mistake I’ll be very happy.” I went back to the hotel and the father came out to Meet me. couldn’t thank them enough. They paid the bill plus gave me a $7 tip. I was like “I didn’t think you were gonna pay me.” He explained that that he’s a working man and they’d never do that. And it was all just a mistake.

I could be cynical and say they could’ve called. But the truth is it was my screw up and on me to follow up. judging them the way I did really slapped me in the face.

Anyhow, to anyone who
Made it this far, that’s my story. I never knew the stress and work that delivery drivers deal with. Every day I work it’s a new adventure.

Are the book worth reading/listening to?

I’m sorry if this has been asked before. I’m a big fan of both series and don’t want to hear a book that’s just a written version of the show. If the stories are different I’d love to check Out the books.

▲ 17 r/punk

I feel like this sub would love Cringer. With all the pop and melody love here Cringer were doing it when it was still all just dirty punk rock.

If you’re not familiar with them and like pop punk or melodic hardcore definitely give it a listen.

Florida zone 10a

One and two are the same plant. It’s growing in a pot where I planted a lemon seed. But I have no idea if it is from that. Three, I noticed in the yard. Four is randomly growing in a pot with several Bird Pepper plants. The last one is Bidens Mitis. It just looks like a mess I’m wondering if it’s several plants growing together

Hoping for ID help on these Florida natives. More info below. Zone 10a St Lucie/ Martin county line.

The first two are obviously a type of Hibiscus. I was told Hibiscus Poeppigii but have some doubts.

The third I’m not sure of.

Fourth I think is Wild Pennyroyal (Piloblephis Rigida)

5th is a Mistflower I think. I already have Seaside Ageratum and know this is different. Don’t know if it’s native.

Any help is appreciated.

Native Florida Hibiscus ID?

Greetings from zone 10a, Not that it matters since they’re potted. Was hoping someone could maybe ID these 3 (2 pictures of each) native Florida Hibiscus. One of them should be Fairy Hibiscus (Hibiscus Poeppigii)

The person I got the seeds from only keeps natives so I’m sure they’re Florida native. But there’s a bunch of Hibiscus native to Florida. Any hep is always appreciated.

Zone 10a foamy substance on Blanket Flowers

Greenacres, PBC. I noticed some stuff that looks like foam on my Indian Blanket flowers. Anybody have any idea what it is? I don’t see it on any other plants.

Hoping for some help with my remote issue.

I’m extremely ignorant to the terms and names of pretty much any technology. I’m hoping someone will be willing to help so I’ll describe everything best I can.

I’ve got a firestick. It’s plugged into one of the HDMI ports on my TCL television. I don’t use the television without the firestick at all. When I turn on the set I make sure the input is set to the HDM that the firestick is plugged into. I hit menu and it brings up my main screen, it then gives me the choice to go to one of my apps or settings. All of that works fine.

Lately when I hit the volume. It registers as if I’m hitting an 8 button (there are no numbered buttons on the firestick remote.) as many times as I hit it, the 8’s will just keep popping up. If I hit the volume 3 times it’ll register 888. Volume does nothing. Then the tv will switch to from the firestick (HDMI2) to I guess whatever channel we get on the actual TV (HDMI1.)

I’m sorry for the long post but wanted to try to be specific. By the way I have no idea what ever happened to the TLC remote. We just use the firestick and it’s remote which has always worked fine. If anyone can tell me how to fix this problem I’d much appreciate it.

Thanks.
