Hi! I posted one very silly short with my husband that went viral on YouTube and we gained a wild amount of subscribers from it, *but* our actual videos are flopping. Our the high sub numbers actually hurting the channel if subscribers aren’t watching?
I swear this is not a braggy post whatsoever. My husband and I make very silly crochet content on Instagram/youtube and for some reason got so incredibly lucky with our first few videos. But, now that things have massively slowed down- our views are much lower, especially on long form content. I know that the videos are likely being put on current subscribers feeds but it doesn’t seem like they are interested anymore. I wonder if having a high ratio of subscribers in conjunction with low views/watch time is hurting the channel as opposed to helping it. We’re still super new to this and honestly I adore editing so I don’t plan on stopping if views don’t go up, I’m more curious on if I’m doing something wrong. Thoughts?
