Since getting Sunlight I started to dislike how the DD-8 sounds too sterile and precise. Does anyone want to talk me out of selling my DD-8? Will it have a use case I can't achieve with Sunlight's slapback features?

I feel like the only time I really turn on the DD-8 is to just play some arpeggio type stuff with equidistant notes.

Are there a lot of players who just enjoy groove, tone, and improvising usingchord progressions and melodies they like instead of trying to make their own full structured songs?

I think that initial creation of a cool riff or just falling into a groove or texture with guitar is one of life's great pleasures. Developing those sketches into a full pieces feels like work and I just don't have a drive to do it?

Is this common? Am I supposed to want more? I know music theory well enough to jam over most beloved music in my Spotify, find the melody on the fretboard and then just enjoy rendering it in new tones or innovating or improvising or jamming over that.

Maybe this is kind of like being a poet instead of a novelist? Just being in the moment and enjoying it. Sometimes I have ideas that are a bit longer, but then I'm in a more logical state of mind and feel more inclined to just use my keyboard and DAW, but this is rare like once every few months when I want to actually have something saved beyond loops and I usually don't involve my guitar even though I mostly play guitar.

My dream weird board is complete. Thanks everyone for your advice on fun reverbs!

Love my Afterneath. What should my next reverb pedal be? Don't like normal amp reverb/room/hall type stuff.

Don't think I want a cinematic one like Avalanche either. Looking at Dispatch Master as a smooth always on to use with fuzzes and Ghost Echo for playing with distortion, attack, and muting. What other interesting pedals are out there? What are you loving right now? Not really big on super bright and chimney, but open to whatever you think is fun and weird. I can probably darken whatever pedal with cocked wah if needed.

Also looking for a tremolo pedal if any come to mind!

I want surfskate to be fun with the added bonus of training me for surf pumping and turning but not purely something that supports my surfing. I'm a bit anxious that I'm at a weight where a lot of the stock builds will be too stiff for me? Should I go for kid versions?

I don't need it to be able to cruise though because I already have cruiser boards. My skate experience is cruising on a longer board but I did loosen that board a lot and learned a bit of pumping on it even though it's not designed for that and has crazy stiff bushings. My surf experience is 3ish years, currently riding an 8'6 longboard and a 6'10 mod fish (46 Liters).

From my research it sounds like Smoothstar, Yow, or Slide is the way to go? What do you think? Not really planning to do skatebowls, maybe a pump track. Please help me brainstorm some models to choose from that are better for women / smaller people. Thank you!!
