Fabric ideas. ?

Hello I think we all know that fabric shop madness moment where you think omg that’s beautiful and buy material and then have no idea what to do with it.. this is like a medium weight cotton and with my hand under you can see it and the pattern is almost pashmina like. Wtf do I do with it? I don’t know what I was thinking it’s almost like sofa material but it’s not. I don’t need a suit or anything formal… cheers !

Using trainline for tickets, customer service issues.

probably the one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Using their site to book an adult and child ticket across europe, they've allocated seats in different carriages rather than miss out on the sale. Asking them to correct it, and they've repeatedly said you have to call and pay a fee to fix it, even though they admit the train doesn't allow kids unaccompanied, and it's their systems fault. just book direct with the train companies and don't use them.. .

research post - what kind of investor are you & what's your process

I’m researching a product idea for self-directed investors and trying to understand how people actually make decisions once they move beyond beginner investing.

less about stock picks.

More curious about process.

  • What’s the hardest part of investing once you already understand the basics?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed by information, or under-informed?
  • Do you use a framework/process, or mostly instinct?
  • have you heard of regime investing?

I’m noticing a lot of investing media is either:

  1. beginner content
  2. gambling/day trading
  3. buy and hold forever advice

Feels like there’s a gap in the middle but maybe I’m wrong.

Interested in honest answers.

hello, since my kid was about 7-8 she's had jobs to do at home, the last year it's been her job every week to vacuum the house (we have a robot it's not so hard), hang up the washing, put the dry washing away, and take the sheets off the beds when it's time to wash them. Last year she wanted a Barbie Dreamhouse, but we also had the chance to go to Disneyland for her birthday. I thought both was a bit extravagant, so I let her choose which she wanted - we went to Disneyland. Still wanting the Barbie dreamhouse some months later and not waiting for Christmas, I said she can earn the money and I'll pay the other half - this is when the jobs above started being a real thing every week. Now she's nearly 9 she wants to earn money, but I don't really believe in paying for contributing to having a clean house and clothes, that's normal. ..

do parents with kids this age give regular "pocket money" or pay for jobs and any suggestions for something extra she can do? we don't have a car or garden to work on...
