Attending The Masters with my 10 year old golfer son, a dream come true

If you've ever won the Masters lottery, you know the shock I felt when I logged in and did NOT get the "we regret" message. My son has been golfing since he was 5 and to have the opportunity to walk golf's most hallowed grounds together, experiencing all Augusta has to offer... truly a once in a lifetime experience, one I cannot believe I'm lucky enough to have with him.

Picture tax - my first visit to Augusta for the 2022 Wednesday practice round.

A Philly HR Derby, childhood dreams come true. My photos of this awesome experience

The best "all star" event in professional sports, in my own city, my own ballpark, with two of my favorite players. Had a phenomenal view for this childhood dream that I'll never forget. Enjoy the photos!

Tony and Nick's - stepping their game up

The original Tony Luke's had long been a pregame staple for my family and I. It's been off and on, but had been more on as of late. Licosio's seeded roll and wiz and cooper sharp with here. really nice.

Atomix, NYC - Bar Tasting Menu, May 2026

Have dined at Atomix several times but this was my first experience at the Bar tasting. Thoroughly enjoyed, particularly at the price point. It's not Chef JP's menu - there's a separate chef and team that focus solely on the bar but rotate between both at times. Interestingly, they debuted this menu a few days ago and the Bar chef left the restaurant almost immediately afterwards.

Everything is prepared directly at the bar in front of diners - a superb opportunity to watch, more than anything, the art of plating. Cooking tools are limited to an induction countertop burner and their knives so dishes are planned and prepped for these limitations. Plating the mise en place is a big part of the show.

No real miss dishes for me. A lot of punchy flavors, particularly the acids. The strawberry/rhubarb oil on the trout dish was fantastic as was the chili oil on the sea bream. Strong sauce work that complimented good protiens and some sick knifework.

Overall would recommend!
